Overall

I switched just under a year ago. Very happy with the service so far.
The rates are clear and make sense. I am grateful that you can pay a little more to use higher percentages of green energy if that is important to you. I am lucky enough that I can do this, but even then the rates are still competitive.
I raised a support ticket to update my details and the assistance from Alvin was very quick and efficient. Greatly appreciated.

Be careful of signing up with this mob! I signed up and 23 days later they put the pricing up by a lot! See below.

Tried to reason with them but simply hit a brick wall. Have since switched to a much more economical provider!!

Energy Locals to me is a great company that has adequately trained staff that can answer questions and follow up on requests from customers. The help Centre is adequately staffed and as a result you don't have to wait long at all to speak to them. Staff are pleasant to talk to and you can actually understand them when speaking with them. Other companies you wait an hour to speak to them and then they employ people you can't understand and who are far from helpful this fortunately is NOT the case with Energy Locals!

I hope more people filter the reviews to show the 1 star reviews. SO MANY people highlighting how much this company seems to practically extort its customers.
I too experienced constant monthly bills that just kept going up in price. And this was when the sunshine had started to return so my levels of solar export should be turning things in my favour.
This company does not have its customers best interests at heart.
Also, I have camera that would have shown if people were actually checking the meter. They used to check it a year ago, but certainly haven't seen them ever check in the last 6 months. ... not good!
I've changed to an energy wholesale company that also now highlights that the electricity grid is extremely volatile with countless times during the day where it actually costs me money to export power to the grid. I feel Energy Locals never bothered to try and work with this in a way that benefits me. They just take advantage of how confusing the whole system is and charge whatever they want.
2 years ago, things were better!
