I rang B&D because I needed help adding my new phone to my SmartHub. I was connected to Belle who was delightful over the phone and sent me very clear instructions that proved successful. Dealing with Belle brightened my day.

Garage door works great and is notably quieter than our previous garage door. Their warranty service is not great.
We had a panel have some paint flake off one of the panels. We called for a warranty repair, they promptly sent a technician to look at the issue and he advised the panel will be replaced and they will call me to book an appointment.
This was in 2022 then, I have periodically been following this up, (and had 2 kids in the meantime). It seems without me constantly calling them nothing happens. Each call results in a promise to call back and then I hear nothing back. I must have called them 15-20 times. I have just called them and was again promised a call back, it's still in progress 2.5 years later.

Jo from Lvl 2 tech support was brilliant, and solved my smart phone operation issues that no-one else could solve. Thanks Jo - you’re the best!!! ???????. Shout out to Hez too - who was also a pleasure to deal with!
Only constructive feedback is the written instructions could be a little clearer, detailed, & foolproof so than mere mortals like me couldn’t stuff it up ???

Today we had the roller door that we ordered from B & D installed. I can only give praise to the installer, David, for his professionalism, the patience to respond to our questions, and the way he explained things to us. I need to add as well that David is a very courteous person, and it is fantastic to deal with people like him, which are somewhat scarce in this day and age, where the $ seem to block everything else that is somewhat more important - the way people treat each other. Overall experience from order to fitment today is great as well. Thank you B & D - recommend B & D Doors for great service and great doors at reasonable prices. Kings Park, Victoria 3021.

Avoid like the plague if you value a warranty of any sort...
B&D claim a 7yr warranty (ours was extended up to 10yrs) however it is not worth the paper it's written on.
Our motor is less than 4yrs old, and it has not been able to access the blue-tooth function to connect to the app for nearly 3 years. B&D advised it was due for a service, and their service tech could update the firmware and rectify this issue for us. So we requested a service, which was met with an outsourced technician from B&D Melbourne East & South East. He's pulled the cover off and ran diagnostics on the motor. Claims since installing, 33 errors had occurred during the 5000 times it's operated. He then states that the motor could need replacing.
He then removed the circuit board which appeared to have some form of burn on parts of the fiberglass layer. He continued to claim, "this appears to be minor water damage and it won't be covered by the warranty". Might I add, the damaged PCB did not show signs of corrosion on any of the components whatsoever, which is what you would expect with apparent water damage.
The unit is installed in an internal access garage and has no windows. When I questioned how this was even possible, they said that "water may have gotten onto the rail and dripped onto the motor". This concept isn't even feasible, due to the rail being mounted about 300mm higher than the door cavity, and if the door was open, the door would be covering the motor. None of this makes any logical sense. They also said that maybe somebody had sprayed water in the machine whilst "cleaning the garage". These just sounded like wild scenarios thrown around to avoid fixing a faulty unit.
After pushing for them to honor the warranty and replace the faulty unit (or parts), they've said that three other B&D staff have confirmed the damage is caused by water, therefore voiding the warranty.
I am granting B&D a chance to honor the warranty and rectify the faulty unit, however it seems like they've washed hands completely of my issue.
In this case, I'll be seeking advice from an independent technician, as well as the ACCC and Consumer Affairs in regards to B&D not fulfilling their warranty obligations.
On Product Review.com.au I found several others who have had similar issues on warranties not being honored.
It's very seldom that I turn to posting negative reviews on google, but I felt this warranted a reply.
