Real Canadian Roofing was very professional. Their team was extremely friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. They were very meticulous and worked quickly. They cleaned everything up when done and did an excellent job matching my new siding with the existing siding on my garage. They also did an amazing job on my new roof and gutters. Real Canadian was great. Very responsive. Honest. There is a shingle shortage this year and they were able to get me in early because I was willing to take any colour available. Their installers were hard working and polite. By the end of the job there was no visible evidence that they had even been there, actually it was better because they blew off my patio!
I requested they take extra precautions to protect my soft asphalt drive way and they went above and beyond. I wanted a couple extra vents that hadn't been arranged beforehand and they sent a guy to pick them, no problem. As someone who works in the real estate industry I see hundreds of roofs every year, some good and some VERY bad installations. Also as a fellow Tradesmen (Carpenter) I have installed 50+ roofs myself. I did my due diligence before hiring a contractor and Real Canadian had a fair price. Not the highest and not the lowest. I'm very happy with my final choice. Thank you.

Real Canadian Roofing, owned by Johnny Brus, installed our new roof this year (April 2021). Everything about it went smooth and well. The price was good, the timelines were met, and the work appears to be high quality (not that I am a knowledgable judge on this subject). I would recommend them based on that alone- in fact I had already referred them to a friend.
That is where this review could end, however the amazing thing happened a few weeks after the roof was done. We installed a new dishwasher. In the few days following, we noticed a sporadic leak in the window just below where the dishwasher sits. It also happened to rain around that same time (the first rain since the roof was installed). We first experimented with everything we could think of with the dishwasher and the nearby sink, and we could not produce the leak in the window below. Then it rained again, and leaked again, so we thought it must be the roof.
Believing we had eliminated the dishwasher as a possible leak source, we contacted Johnny. He responded within minutes and arrived at the house by noon that same day. He spent a while inspecting the relevant part of the roof above the leak before saying he really didn't think the roof was the issue, and asked if he could see the dishwasher. Within a few minutes, he had found the issue with the dishwasher install and had fixed the leak, casually mentioning he has done a bit of plumbing.
He wouldn't accept payment for fixing the leak related to our dishwasher install. I tell this story (despite the fact that it is a little embarrassing, and reveals my low skill level as a handyman), to demonstrate how focused on customer service Johnny is. He is someone who cares and is attentive and responsive, and cares about his customers.
Plain and simple, hire Real Canadian Roofing for your next roofing job. If you use a bigger company, all they do is contract out the job to a crew like Johnny's, except that that crew won't care as much as Johnny does. Cut out the middle man and use Johnny directly.

I'm glad I chose Real Canadian Roofing to replace my roof with choice of Real Canadian Roofing shingles. The shingles looked great and they also replaced rotten wood, and installed drip edge and valley flashing, as well as installing 2 additional vents and fixed-up the chimney. They installed nice underlay sheets to protect the wood. They used a trailer to collect old shingles and rotten material. The installers were both professional and attention to detail. They took the time to install the roof the proper way unlike my previous experience with a different contractor who rushed to finish in one day, which then resulted in leaks in my previous house. Now, after the new roof was finished by Real Canadian Roofing team, we had some windstorm and rain, the new roof withstood the conditions and proved their excellent workmanship. I'd recommend Real Canadian Roofing to my friends and family for future work.

Real Canadian Roofing was recommended based on the quality of work by another well reviewed roofer who wasn't able to fit us in their schedule. We were very fortunate to have such a professional and experienced crew for our re-roof. Jay was a great communicator and provided top notch answers and recommendations to all of our questions. The quote provided include the business license, proof of insurance, and examples of previous work which was very reassuring.

In terms of the actual work, he and his crew went above and beyond the basic re-roof to ensure a minor repair was completed correctly and the issue was addressed. We would highly recommend Real Canadian Roofing to others and have already recommended them to colleagues and friends.
