Prompt arrival and diagnosis of my fridge problem. I was told I need another compressor that would cost $1600. When I decided to go ahead with the work, I spoke to someone on the phone who said I would get a call back - never happened. So I emailed, requesting to go ahead with the work - never happened. I spoke with another fridge repair gentleman who said the price I was quoted was way over priced, and that I probably never received a call back, because they didn't want to do the work.

It seems this company only specializes in diagnosis - which I question the integrity of, given how quick it occured - and ignoring phone calls and emails. Will not use again

Hoang Le came to the house and zeroed in on an electrical issue, then took apart the dryer and put it back together. He replaced a house fuse with an extra fuse we had - no parts. He explained how to use my multimeter. I was a little shocked at the price but appreciated Hoang taking the time to explain how to use the multimeter. The first time I went to use the dryer it broke. He came back and took apart the dryer, then thought it was the thermal regulator, but decided to replace the belt. The new belt is on and we will see how we go. Hoang Le is a very nice man who will do high quality work to ensure a 5-star review.

Recently had Hoang come to repair our dryer. He diagnosed the issue within five minutes without even having to take anything apart. He then was kind enough to take the back off to show me the issue before leaving, which we were not charged for since we accepted the future repair.
He predicted a week turnaround for the blower which ended up being spot on. And charged market value for the part as well, which was like $100.
All in all I was very pleased with his work and professionalism. Dryer has been working great still two weeks after the repair.
My only criticism is that communication wasn't great as we only got 20 hour notice before he was to return for the repair. But it could have been worse.
I would book these guys again!

the control board on our whirlpool refrigerator went out. I call appliance repair at 3:30pm and had a tech at my home by 6pm. Shafiq Minhas was quick to figure out the problem. The part was over and the next day he returned and installed the new board. Shafiq was knowledgeable and went straight to work and completed the work quickly.

Update: We have been contacted by Appliance Repair Experts offering to refund our service charge, on the condition that we delete our bad review. After voice and email discussions we have now declined this offer. I filed a report to the Better Business Bureau. BBB contacted them but never received a reply. It might be advisable to check the BBB site if you are considering engaging this company.

Original (Bad) Review
Appliance Repair Expert London: A service technician was booked online for Appliance Repair Expert, and he came Monday, Sep 25. After spending time with the machine (GE Top load washer) the technician informed us the mother board was broken and would need to be replaced. He said he would look to see if they had a used board. If they did, it would cost $150 to repair or if not, a new one would cost $350 plus installation. The technician recommended not doing the repair.

We paid the service charge by visa ($89 + tax) and the tech left. Three days later, we had not heard anything and started follow up with their customer service.

We were told they had contacted the technician. We received no response. Multiple subsequent calls from my wife and I occurred but no contact yet.

We asked for a different technician but were told that would incur another $89 service charge.

Our calls were consistently escalated past customer service to a manager who insisted the technician had been contacted. To date, we still have not been contacted.

The last instruction we gave them was to replace the motherboard with a new one. No response yet.

Additional Note: the ARE web page shows 277 - 5 star reviews. This is not consistent with the actual Home Stars and Google reviews which has many negative reviews for situations like ours.
