Never made it to the quote phase, unfortunately.
Mine and Amy's recollections of what happened vary significantly, so I checked my call log for this one (I welcome Eco to do the same).
I requested a quote via website on the weekend of July 15th. I missed a return call on Monday July 17th, Amy left a VM for me. (good start!).
I attempted to return the call 3 times on Wed, July 19th. Left VM on 3rd call requesting an appointment for Friday, July 21 - unlikely, I know! (no issue to this point...)
I missed a return call from Eco on Thursday, July 20th at 10:56am. VM was left by Amy acknowledging she was out of the office the day prior, and my request for a an appointment on Friday July 21 was not possible. (Understandable, I was overly optimistic hoping for such a quick turnaround - I got similar responses from the 2 other companies I called).
I returned the call on July 20th at 3:35pm, and we finally connected. When we chatted, we selected July 27, at 3pm (according to me, anyway).
After no one shows up at the scheduled time, I called at 3:37pm to see what was going on, Amy says I am not in the calendar.
To be clear, clarical errors are fine, but it became a real problem on principle that Amy had no interest in even entertaining the idea it may have been a mistake on her end...
She kept indicating that I was not scheduled for any date, but she does see my file with proper address, and indicates that there was a "flag" on my account which means that some sort of follow up was required, or that I needed to confirm a date, apparently.
To potential customers who are reading this, if there is evidence that we did have a bunch of missed calls and then we did eventually connect on the 20th, what are the odds that the customer just made up this date and time in their mind out of thin air?
On the other hand, what are the odds that it was a clerical error on the company's end?
These are rhetorical questions... But I will tell you that I sent my kids out to my in-laws and I made sure to have my dogs contained to simplify the quote process. I didn't just make this date and time on a whim. Imagine doing all of this if you ended the phone conversation with something along the lines of'; "ok, well, this date and time are unofficial. We need to touch base again to finalize." No way!
And we know I didn't just get the date and time incorrect. Amy was very clear that there is NO date for me yet.
On the call that began at 3:37pm, we discussed future dates. I was presented with August 4th which didn't work for me, or August 7th which was just too far away. Suddenly, it was mentioned there was availability at 3pm on July 28th (tomorrow). I don't know why wasn't that mentioned first. I ended the call because I did not think I could make that time work. 12 minutes after hanging up, I called back to accept the time and she said someone already took the spot.
While I can accept that it is genuinely possible, and that there is ZERO reason Eco would hold that spot now, I am extremely skeptical given my overall communication. This sort of conjecture holds little relevance at this point. But this is where we got deeper into the debate of what could have possibly caused us to have such different recollections of events in the first place. In my opinion, there was little attempt to reconcile what went wrong, so why would I become a customer? Clerical errors are fine, but what happens after REALLY matters.
For anyone wondering if I got companies mixed up? No. I contacted 3 companies. One quoted at 9am today, another at 1pm today, and the final was Eco. Eco was the only one with an assistant and Eco was the only "no show". I once again mention that their file for me exists and I have call logs. We did connect, but somehow there was a material misunderstanding during that call. According to Amy, it was certainly on my end.
Too bad, if the quote happened as I expected, I would have 3 quotes to consider instead of 2.

We contacted Eco Insulation for a quote to insulate our attic. Drew reached out to us, came out to our home and gave us a prompt quote. He took the time to answer all of our questions, and follow-up questions I had after having spoken to other companies. The workers completed the job, and were honest about the spaces they could not reach. Overall, excellent service and competitive prices.

We hired Eco to remove and re-insulate our attic and our garage ceiling.
It frustrates me that customer service at the end of a project can overshadow an otherwise good job. One of the technicians improperly operated a gasoline powered industrial vacuum causing it to spill oil all over our concrete driveway. While what happened was not ideal, we were understanding homeowners who still paid Eco promptly and in full when invoiced.
Eco responded and power washed the local area quickly the day of the oil spill. We gave the driveway finish the benefit of 6 months and 2 seasons to even out.
We reached out again this Spring to request Eco cover the cost to clean the rest of the driveway as the finish was clearly still very uneven (photos below taken in October 21' and March 22'). Eco begrudgingly offered to cover 50% of the third-party cleaning quotation we solicited and provided them. We declined their offer on the basis that the customer should not be held accountable for a company's action. Our driveway was left in worst condition than when Eco arrived by no fault of the homeowner.
While this review is unique to our situation, it highlights how an otherwise highly rated company responds to unplanned event during an otherwise normal day on the jobsite.
Sorry Eco, you should have done more here.

The team at Eco Insulation London did an incredible job. They were very professional from day one. From the phone call inquiry, the team member who came to do the quote, to the team members who came to do the work...the process was seamless and efficient.
The workers were very tidy and cleaned up after themselves. Our contactor was also very impressed with the work that was done.
Thank you Eco Insulation London for helping to keep us cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
Well priced and professional. We highly recommend this company.

Hi Andrew, I wanted to thank you and let you know that I'm very happy with the work the 3 men did in my basement. Polite when talking with me, reviewed with me how the spray would be applied and gave me a timeline. They kindly waited for me to move my Ford as they were here right on time and I had not moved out of laneway yet. Their work looks good to me, they even cleaned up around my new windows. There was no clean up from me required. I definitely recommend your company to anyone needing insulation.

I had Eco Insulation, London, apply spray foam insulation and vapour barrier to my basement walls and dirt crawl space in my 120+ year old home today. The team was friendly, professional, prompt, clean and extremely flexible with my last minute requests. From quote (Andrew) to finished job, they were top notch; going above and beyond the service level and finished product I expected. I would definitely recommend Eco Insulation for all your insulation needs.

The staff and installers of Eco Insulation were excellent to work with. As part of an energy audit, they were contracted to increase the insulation in the attic. On-site, the team was professional and efficient. Without having to ask, they installed additional ventilation and replaced all seals on access hatches. Upon review by the auditor, he comment on the excellent work the installers had done. Only issue was getting a time setup to have the work done. This company is in high demand, so patience may be needed. Will be my go to for any future insulation needs. Nice work Drew, Sean, Amy and crew!
