We got our kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, and closets done by Aya. Turned out beautiful! Our designer Elena was very talented and patient. She worked into the design all the details we wanted. She has a great attention to detail. Our installer was very efficient and respectful. He was able to install all the cabinets for the whole house in less than a week. He also cleaned up at the end of each day and kept us updated on the progress. Everyone we interacted with at Aya were very professional. Would recommend.

I've been helping my friend Violet complete her kitchen renovation with the services of Elena, the designer, along with Andy, the installer from the Mississauga location. My kitchen renovation was complicated due to the plumbing configuration in a condominium which had to be incorporated as part of the design. Definition of done.

The before picture is of the poor butt joint on crown moulding that was supposed to be repaired.

The later pictures are the repair attempts they made, loose screws hanging from ceiling, exposed fume exhaust, random pieces scattered across the floor. Their technician showed up, removed the crown moulding from the upper cabinets, chopped all the original parts into pieces to be used for the repair job then left halfway when they said they couldn’t finish the job and neither them, their supervisor, their project manager, or their project manager’s manager could comment on when they will come back. There’s no going back because now I don’t even have the original parts anymore.

I’ve also listed other poorly installed items. Notice how the handles are loose? That’s because they installed extra long screws, not because they didn’t screw all the way in (at least 6 handles are like this), also left a screw with a snapped head and dangling handle. Also, left the kick plates uninstalled and despite being provided the actual manual for the fridge, the gables were built such they block the way.

The company is deflecting any inquiries to other organizations like Tarion or the Builder, and if those organizations fail to respond - they quite clearly stated they will NOT help the customer or comment on the specifics of your file even when they are responsible for the install and any post install repairs, the ability to fix the issue is completely in their hands. Their agreement to remain silent regarding your file isn’t legally binding either, they simply won’t tell you. They have this far been avoiding any accountability with all the tricks in the bureaucratic playbook, no ethics or sense of moral responsibility.

No solution in sight because of lack of information, I would love to be proven wrong as I don’t come looking for trouble, I just want the job to actually be done and move on.

I hope this helps, words can only do so much, but a picture is a thousand words.

Update: Everything was fixed except the fridge gables not being the right size (I sent the fridge spec sheet w/ dimensions in April 2022, the cabinets were installed September 2023, it is now November 2023). Will post update pictures once ALL items addressed.
