After a lot of market research and visits to suppliers we selected an Aritco Compact Homelift to be installed via Aritco’s UK subsidiary, Gartec.
The Compact Homelift is a new product available since April 4th 2023, its design is very sleek and is more of an architectural statement than just a lift.
We visited the UK base and arranged several site visits with the Gartec engineer and our builder to finalise the required floor cutouts, electricity supply and lift pit installation.
We went ahead and specified the lift finish and other customized items and paid the initial deposit.
The installation date, which would take 2 days, was set for the 10th May but was put back until the 11th May. The two Gartec installers Marcus and Steve arrived promptly on the 11th but the truck transporting the lift from the port was delayed due to a breakdown by 4 hours. The engineers worked until the late evening on the 11th and returned to site on the 12th to continue the installation; Marcus came back on Saturday 13th to complete the installation but discovered missing parts not sent by the Swedish factory. We also discovered that the wrong trim had been installed and that there was a chip in one glass panel.
The missing parts were received and installed with the lift being operational on the 16th June; the trim and chipped panel were completely replaced on the 25th July.
Although we had a long journey to install the lift, the installation teams were professional, courteous and very hard working; they were unfortunately let down by the Swedish factory who left out several key components for this installation which we put down to this being a completely new product. Also, the Swedish summer holidays run from 14th June to 18th August which was a factor in the delay.
The Aritco lift has transformed our lives, we can now stay in our house for a lot longer than we previously thought; as going up and down several flights of stairs was just becoming too difficult and always fraught with the fear of a fall.
The design of the lift is very “Grand Designs” in look and feels more like an architectural statement piece in the room rather than a lift.

Excellent service, on time, smart and the engineer soon completed the required work ... Would recommend ... The lift is in our 'Globe Hall Earth Centre' - the funds were raised and centre was built by volunteers, companies, groups and dedicated individuals over a 19 year period! The lift is a vital part of our facilities... Making the Earth Centre accessible for everyone...

Matt, Amanda and the team at Gartec are second to none, we couldn’t be happier!
The lift installation was flawless even with us changing dates and Amanda project managed everything perfectly. Ignore the negative reviews below.... their customer service is impeccable, anything that came up an engineer came out straight away, (no matter how minor) we’ve been so impressed that next week we will be showing it off for the second time to a new potential customer :) . A great professional company I would highly recommend to anyone !

To the managers at Gartec lifts.
The company you are "managing" is not reliable, is not professional and your employees need a lot of training.
I signed a contract more than 2 years ago and I only had 1 service, I called your team 2 days ago as my elderly mother came to visit and initially was promised for an engineer to attend to the site the following day between 1 and 5. Nobody called and nobody turned up, when I called around 4.30, I was told that the engineer was busy and he would have come the following day. I specifically asked for an early morning visit, as the only purpose for my lift is my elderly and disabled mother, he turned up in the afternoon and left a note inside my letter box as apparently my phone was not reachable, when I called your office again i was told he had been waiting for 25 minutes and then he had to go. I then demanded the cancellation of the contract and to get the engine key back from the engineer who initially came 2 years ago. Even this small task is difficult for your staff.
My lift has been working for the first 6 months and then it has not been used ever again.
this is just ridiculous behavior. You do not deserve to be trading.
