Had an issue with my electric gate. Customer service was fantastic and an engineer called in the afternoon. Luckily it was a simple issue but I would recommend ASE 100%.

I would highly recommend A S E Autogate, from start to finish the work has been very professional, great communication, on time. The fitters were very friendly and tidy with their work, arriving on time and did a great install. I'm very happy with the end product and love the new privacy. Thank you Andy and the team.

Very disappointed in the outcome of this as we signed up to their service plan hopeful of a lasting relationship.
When we moved into the property the gates had an intermittent fault and would occasionally refuse to open. We had ASE service them and upgrade the intercom system. The fault persisted so they diagnosed it as a faulty electrical panel, which took three months to get into stock and replace. This didn't fix the problem, so the engineer came back and made adjustments. The fault persisted and after a few weeks the gate failed to operate entirely.
The engineer came out and diagnosed a completely different fault with the motor and did a temporary repair with the caveat that it's a short term fix. We were immediately sent a breakdown callout invoice. When I called to discuss what I was paying for and to discuss a permament repair I got a lecture about how they would think I would have called sooner if the fault wasn't new and how the previous parts and repair were a separate issue, etc. The irony is that I didn't call to complain about the invoice, but about it being a temporary fix and I would rather be given an option to have the faulty part replaced and not have to wait for it to fail again. But the person on the phone was lecturing me about what he would have done if his car had broken down, how he wouldn't have waited weeks if it was a genuine fault, etc.. He was making wild assumptions about our situation and how we use our time. It was unpleasant and unprofessional and at no time did I feel like he attempted to hear what I was calling for. He avoided talking about previous repairs and focused entirely on the weeks it took us to call them as some kind of a trump card proving his point. He also mentioned multiple times how he spoke to my wife who used a different word to describe the fault, which according to him also proved this wasn't the same issue... it was a very strange conversation about nothing.
I wish I could give it two separate ratings as the engineers were courteous and pleasant, but as a company they failed, hence the two stars.

Andy and his team at ASE are reliable, professional and very helpful. Andy helped design the gates (Which were in an awkward spot) and talked us through every step of the process. When the gates were manufactured and ready to install they were of a very high quality. The team that came to install them was excellent - they worked incredibly hard in all kinds of weather, were neat and tidy, came when they said they would and provided a thorough explanation of every aspect of the gates. If you're looking for a professional and reputable company that won't let you down - then ASE are definitely the right company for you. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to friends and family.
