Very easy rental experience for bear spray. Since you can’t fly with it there or back makes most sense to rent it. Owner indicated never once had a customer had to deploy it on an actual bear so that made us feel way better about renting it.

The gear I rented was in great condition. Really easy to deal with and very helpful.

Edit: I just saw a review that mentioned a tight neck gasket on a dry suit. I also rented a dry suit and the neck gasket was tight. But, I’ve replaced a number of gaskets on dry jackets back home and the tightness is just a symptom of a new gasket. Can’t be helped.

I rented an Extreme Cold Gear Set from Dave Jan 25-31st. Dave sent specific directions which were very easy to follow, picked up everything in fantastic condition and we were off. Not once during the week when wearing any of the gear was I cold. Weather was -40/-44in Fairbanks and then windy/snowing in Seward coming off Resurrection Bay. Would Highly recommend Dave and any of the packages he has to offer. I loved the Kavik Jacket so much I hit Big Rays before I left and bought one.

Alaska Outdoor Gear Rental had everything we needed to have a great time fishing on the Kenai! We were dry and cozy all day long in waders and boots that were just like new. I highly recommend them and will definitely be coming back again!
