Cat makes a great product own 2 pieces of their equipment for our company and have been considering switching all of our heavy iron to Cat equipment about 10-12 pieces in a given year. They have the “latest and greatest” skid steer track loaders now. We asked to demo one of them to make sure it is as great as they say they are. We were told “no it’s not approved by the sales manager.”Come to our yard. I show up and there isn’t any gravel piles to dig in with the machine so we ask again to demo the machine. The answer again is “sales manager says no.” As irritating as this is I say okay I will truck in my own material to your yard so we may see what the machine can do. Now all the sudden demo is “approved” don’t bring dump trucks. 2 more weeks goes by and still can’t get a date to pick up machine and run it through the paces. Keep in mind we keep asking our sales rep (who has been great in every aspect they should be in charge of sales they understand the value of customer service) every other day and she receives no response back from her manager. We again threaten to bring our material to their shop and all the sudden it’s pick the machine up Monday have it back in three days. FINALLY!! Or so we thought. Now here is the kicker, 5 minutes after getting the “approval” the machine that we have been trying to demo for 3+ weeks now “sold yesterday nothing to demo now” what kind of game is the sales manager playing here. More like an “anti sales manager”. I entered this month thinking about buying a 265 skid steer and a 938 loader this year and 2 more loaders next year. After this experience I’m not sure I want to buy from NC machinery again as long as the “anti sales” manager is around. It shouldn’t be so difficult to give them my money and business. I would be embarrassed and disgusted as a business owner if I had an employee acting this way to a client.

Our go-to rental shop for our business. Their customer service is on another level compared to their local competitors. They have newer machinery that has been well maintained which reduces down time. I'd highly recommend them for any equipment rentals.

I purchased a new Cat 236D skid steer in March of 2019. I'm not a commercial purchaser with the likelihood of buying another new Cat product. It didn't matter, I was treated very well, post purchase. Josh came out to my residence to go over general operations and maintenance--very thorough, efficient and professional. This guy knows his stuff, and is the kind of employee that will have me recommending NC Machinery to others.
