I went in with my wife to look for a similar material to the one I had in my hand for my roof. I was gonna ask some questions to the clerks and immediately they started shaking there heads no as if they already new what I was gonna ask. So as I tried to explain to them what I was looking for in comparison to the material I brought with me they continued to shake head no and tell me they don't have anything like it but maybe a 1500 dollar roll of roofing material. I decided to look around the stood and I found exactly the material I needed to finish the job . But on principle alone I did not make the purchase. This place didn't seem to want to help nor want my money so I granted there wish and left . Horrible customer service and rude employees.

In 2018 we spent 6 or 7K on windows here at Spenards. Got the Alpine windows, salesman raved about how great they are. So we bought them and installed them in our home. Then the winter comes and the windows start to warp. Measured about a 1/4 inch from the Frame to the glass. Went in and talked the the salesman filed a claim it’s been three years now and the windows haven’t been repaired. I have been in to the store multiple times over the last 3 years with the same song and dance. They did come out and apply a thin bead of silicone sealant( it was supposed to stop the problem) what a friggen joke!!!
I told them it would not work, it didn’t!!!’ Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else to buy your windows.
The warranty company that they use told us that the windows are JUNK and I have to agree!!! Spenards was unhappy to hear that their warranty company told us information.
So run as far as you can from this company there product is junk and the customer service is the worst I’ve ever delt with

I would prefer to shop here than the box stores, but every trip to SBS reminds me why it’s not worth worrying about.

The newest experience: stopped by for a few supplies today. Almost every customer is masked, but no employees. You would think that would provide a strong enough message to
get with the times, never mind what should be simple common courtesy (customer service?).

The longer term experiences: some really good employees that are knowledgeable and helpful, but also some of the worst experiences I’ve had in town. Like, ordering fiberglass entry doors, getting metal ones instead. Call to inquire, get explanation of why I don’t need fiberglass doors. No apology. Hmmm, I guess the customer is always wrong.

took our house plans to Spenards in 02/2020 because we wanted to be ahead of the game and knew we had a difficult house. We wanted ample time for them to engineer our house trusses. We were given a truss package quote in a few days. When we went to order them, they said they had a ton of problems and would have to fix it. After months of being ignored, which put our build substantiality behind, we switched companies which had all 158 trusses done in two weeks. We were constantly treated as an inconvenience unless we pulled out our credit card. We still haven't heard back them about our trusses and it's currently 9/26/2020. I'll never recommend them for anything to anyone. Highly disappointed. Seven months or horrible service.

We walked into Spenards, were first ignored by three wandering clerks and then we went to counter, where there were four people all laughing and talking.

We stood awkwardly around for a minute, continued to be ignored and decided, let's get out of here.

The ONLY person that took the time to even LOOK at us was the teenage cashier- she knew we were not happy- and she apologized for the whole store.

THAT teenage girl should be the manager! SHE could help the rest of these guys realize that customer service is about the customer. She was sad that we weren't happy, and that was the only interaction we got from ANYONE at the store.

Anyways, we went to Lowe's and were promptly greeted by a clerk and directed to where we needed to go. I like to support local businesses instead of the chain stores, but what can you do if you are being IGNORED?!?!? I waited a day until I cooled down, and called the manager. He was nice enough, but if his employees are this loose with the customers, he needs to start some training.

You see a customer = you go help them. NOT that hard. Lowe's has it down!
