Matt, Sam, and Owen were awesome! They made our experience less stressful. We had a water leak from our laundry room that spread to our Master bedroom and bathroom. Do not let DEC into your home.

Initially impressed with prompt response, but unfortunately, our experience deteriorated thereafter. Despite assuring us of immediate action, the delivery of fans was delayed, causing concern for potential unseen damage. Over a month later, a cacophony of 40 fans and dehumidifiers arrived, with promised pickups repeatedly postponed. Scheduling mishaps led to unexpected visits and inconvenience. Excessive flood cuts and baseboard work, along with mishandling of items and damages to belongings, marred the restoration process. The promised pack-out service fell short, leaving half our home in disrepair and the other half resembling a storage unit. A streamlined communication approach and organizational improvements are sorely needed.

Our first contact with DEC occured on 1/23/2024. We are "done" with them 4/26/2024. This whole project should have been completed much quicker.

We would like to commend this company for their knowledge, professionalism, and high level of customer service provided to us. Special shout out to our Account Manager Derrick for going above and beyond and responding even though it was the close of business hours yesterday, as well as prepping for the team to be able to come in and start the mitigation process. We appreciate Derrick reaching out to us first thing this morning as it only confirmed that we were in good hands with DEC.
Our Crew Lead Tech, Rue, led by example ensuring that in the midst of the chaos we were educated AND informed of every aspect of the mitigation process from removal and disposal of all damaged walls and flooring, treatment, and the equipment function put in place to restore our home.
Our crew (Kendal, Calvin, Richard, Devonta, and Ken) is greatly appreciated as we wholeheartedly believe they made this transition smooth for us. It is not easy to see your home being taken apart even if it is to fix an issue BUT we thank each and every one of you for your hard work and team effort.

My (new) husband and I came home to our house in Montgomery after a beautiful wedding and honeymoon. We found what felt like Niagara Falls flooding from a bursted pipe above the ceiling into our master bedroom. It was night one of marriage in the real world, and we had no idea what to do.

Our plumber in Birmingham connected us with DEC Fire and Water Restoration, who immediately came to the rescue. Jennie provided a great sense of calm on the first phone call and connected us with Tyler, who was already on his way from a long night of other freeze-warning issues. Tyler arrived, helped document everything, talked with the plumber, coordinated dry cleaning for our bedding and clothes, and called Xzavier to help clean up the mess. By 12:26 a.m., we had the debris removed and fans going to get rid of the moisture. Jennie, Tyler, and Xzavier were all outstanding and exactly who we needed in a moment of crisis.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, for continuing to help us get our home restored. This will one day be a memory, but right now, yall are the ones we are able to rely on to get our first home back in order.
