Booth Built has been an awesome company to work with. They built our pergola over a year ago and we've had no issues. Recently, we decided to reroof our house, and Tom Booth personally came out to take care of the job by detaching the pergola from the roof and supporting it during the reroofing process. As soon as the new roof was completed, they came to put the pergola back in place. They are a class act and very professional. Highly recommend in the Phoenix Valley!

A fantastic experience and final product. Booth Built listened to our thoughts on design and came up with the plan. They did everything including the approval from our HOA. I’m so happy with the result and can’t wait to get out and enjoy the shade in our new outdoor living space.

Working with Brian Booth was a great experience! He was professional, knowledgeable and courteous. He visited our home and after speaking to us he put together a plan tailored to our needs and desires.

Booth’s products are well made and their prices are competitive. They installed a 14’ X 25’ pergola on top of a patio that we had extended by Kevens Landscape. They also installed a gutter and downspout between the lanai and pergola.

Dan, our installer, was an awesome person and hard worker. He was timely, great at what he does and was an excellent communicator. He explained what he was doing and always asked if we had any questions that he could answer.

We would recommend Booth to anyone looking at doing any patio work around their home.

I contracted with Booth Built to remove and existing patio cover and replace it with a Pergola. WOW! What a mistake.
The initial contact great. Chris was personable, seemed to know his stuff.
After the project started, I had questions regarding the size and as I was out of town, and my husband was ill, I asked them to stop work until I could get back and see the situation first hand. Upon my return, Chris, his brother, Tom(owner) and another young man came out to ‘answer my questions’. We did seem to get it resolved, but Tom was offended and became defensive. Apparently, he told his crew to ‘do the minimum for her’. Well, not only did they do the minimum, they left my house torn up for over 2 months, but still expected payment.
The beginning of this week, I had a gentleman come out and repair the damage to the soffit and fascia, hauled away the demo trash that was left behind by Booth Built.
I would not recommend this company, due to the non-professional conduct of Tom and the silence I incurred by Chris after the meeting. I was on my own to have the project finished.

I did a lot of research on patio cover companies on Google, BBB, Nextdoor, AZ ROC, Facebook, etc. and Boothbuilt Patio Products came up as one of two or three with consistent good marks and no negative information (BBB, AZ ROC). I contracted with Boothbuilt and now wish I hadn't. The initial sales call was made by Chris Booth, the brother of the company owner, Tom Booth. Chris was pleasant and professional but, failed to accurately record or communicate the correct measurements for the patio cover and the concrete slab. Chris's failure created a cascade of errors that caused unnecessary delays, a wrong building permit, incorrect material orders, rework, and a lot of frustration for me, their customer. We live in a condominium complex with clear rules on patio size and placement. I communicated those restrictions to Chris, and even provided him with a dimensioned drawing showing the exact size and placement of nearly everything. Chris forgot, ignored, discarded the drawing and miscommunicated every aspect of my job to the people inside Boothbuilt and the concrete contractor.

Boothbuilt excavated and poured the footings and placed the vertical posts in the wrong place, requiring them to cut off the posts and jackhammer the footings to install new posts in the correct location. The concrete contractor had the wrong patio slab dimensions, requiring him to relocate the forms the day before the concrete slab was poured.

Eventually, Tom Booth got involved and told me that he had everything under control...almost. The pan roof is allowed to overhang the slab by two (2) feet. The materials ordered were too long and put the pan roof overhang at nearly three (3) feet, requiring the installation crew cut approximately 1 foot of roof off with a circular saw. If I hadn't noticed the long overhang and said something, the installation crew would have installed the long roof without comment.

I was promised a 1-day installation and the crew worked well past dark to complete the job (they would have been done while there was still daylight if they hadn't left for 1-2 hours in the middle of my job to look at another job). There is still some work to be done on the roof flashing and some sealing.

Inspecting the work this morning in the light, I'm not satisfied with the quality of the installation, the damage to the finished/painted surfaces of my cover, and the new humps in the edge of my roof where the new flashing was installed.

I simply can't recommend Boothbuilt Patio Products, particularly if Chris Booth is involved in any part of the process. I have had to get my tape measure out too many times, pay attention to too many major and minor details, and ask too many basic questions to make sure that the job was done according to the requirements that I gave to Boothbuilt in writing up-front. Boothbuilt and the concrete contractor (not his fault; he got wrong data from Boothbuilt) had to rework too many things because the basic requirements of the job were overlooked. The damage (scratches, scrapes, missing paint) to my NEW patio cover is unacceptable. The damage to my roof is unacceptable. I'll be in contact with Tom Booth on Monday to see what he plans to do to address the damaged materials and installation defects.

A good reputation takes years to build; it only takes one big mistake to destroy it in today's age of social media. I feel bad for the folks at Boothbuilt; they are genuinely nice and hard-working people. They just aren't paying attention to the details or listening to their customers. They don't appear to have ANY quality-assurance process to validate requirements before ordering/installing materials ("measure twice, cut once"). I love to give my business to locally-owned businesses but, a locally-owned/family-owned business does not always mean a well-managed business.
