Well I definitely found my new place to get upholstery done. Armando is very talented and such a professional. Highly recommended indeed. Thank you Armenta’s and Armando for taking good care of P&L Kustoms LLC. The back seat cushions look and feel amazing.

Armando made a custom booth and seat cushion for our new office. He mastered our vision and it was exactly what we were hoping for and more.

We needed something that was comfortable but would also help make the room aesthetically pleasing. We were blown away by the design and craftsmanship given the amount of space we had.

Highly recommend if you're looking for beautiful and functional custom-made furniture.

DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT USING ARMENTAS UPHOLSTERY!! I would give Armenta's a ZERO if I could!!! Our boat has been in their hands for 16 WEEKS now (we were told 6-8 weeks per our contract) and is still not done. We stop in every week for an update and they just say, "we're working on it". Turns out our boat hasn't been on the property since we dropped it off. We were told it's in a warehouse somewhere, but they won't say where. My husband was assaulted on June 16th when he stopped in to ask where our property is...he video taped the whole thing! After pushing back the completion date day after day, we went to the shop an hour early to see if it was being completed. Our boat was not there and the shop was locked and closed. Between checking on another location listed on Google for them, and driving around the neighborhood, we stumbled upon our boat at a residence! Turns out the owner Armando and his son Miguel were frantically working to complete the boat at his house! We took the boat as is, unfinished, because the work we could see was terrible, and not at all what we paid for. After repo-ing our boat, we found pieces missing and multiple things wrong with it. To make it better, when we took it to the lake the next day, we found water coming in the middle of the boat, and after taking it off the lake, there is a perfect drill hole in the bottom of our boat! It was definitely NOT there before we took it to Armenta's. A list of everything we found wrong:
- The flooring was not replaced per verbal agreements.
- A few of the plywood pieces on the seating was replaced, but the plywood used is not marine grade, nor is it coated for protection from water.
- Couches and seats were installed about 2 inches too far back, so the back bench could not be installed. We had to uninstall everything and redo it, in order to make it all fit.
- There were tears in the leather.
- The leather is not what we ordered. I am working on getting samples of what we did order, but based on information I found online, the white upholstery that was installed, is much thinner than what we ordered.
- The 3 back deck cushions had old, cracking upholstery on it when we dropped it off. They simply upholstered over top of that, so when you press on any of them, you hear the old upholstery cracking inside.
- The dash was not re-upholstered at all.
- The grey stripes do not match up, and are different widths between the back deck, seats, and cushions. They were supposed to all be the same width.
- Our front speaker holes were upholstered over, and the speakers were not installed. They did put one of the front speakers in the back, next to another back speaker, and cut a larger hole to make it fit, so now the original back speaker is too small for the new hole.
- Multiple drill holes were made in the top of the boat rail where they attempted to install pieces, but did not use, so they used some type of adhesive that isn’t even holding the piece down.
- The back bench seat cushions do not fit together, as they are supposed to.
- Seems are wavy in the upholstery.
- There are uneven edges, and upholstery doesn’t lay flat in multiple places on the boat, including the carpeting.
- It is clear that our boat sat out in the sun, uncovered this whole time, because all of the clear coat on the boat is peeling, and the paint is far more faded than it was when we dropped it off. The boat was also very dirty.
- There is a drill hole on the bottom of the boat.
- There is a crack in the side where it looks like it was hit, or a screw went too far in from the other side and started a crack.
- The carpet is now stained and ruined from the adhesive that was used, foaming up when the water came into the boat from the drill hole(s).
- There is a faint “S” like stain in the carpet in the front of the boat.
- Armando gave us a timeframe of 6-8 weeks on our receipt for completion. We got our boat back at the end of week 16!
