Virgil is the most disrespectful and condescending person we’ve ever gotten a quote from. I am unsure where his tone is coming from, but his yelling, and at times- screaming- is not at all what should be the standard of what homeowners are seeking from a general contractor.
To stay away from him is an understatement. If you still choose to work with him- you will be warned. Out of the several dozen contractors we’ve worked with, he’s the second most, if not the most, unprofessional individual we’ve encountered.

Let me start by saying this is a ten-star review. 5 stars seems insufficient when assessing the quality work Energy Savings Construction performed for my family.
From Virgil (the owner) to the members of his very talented crew every aspect of the project was neat, efficient and handled with the greatest of care.
Our projects consisted of a very tricky fence replacement and an updated awning for the backyard.
Beginning with the fence, Randall (the crew foreman) consulted with me about the aspects of the build and any concerns I might have. I indicated that the preservation of the flora along the fence was important to me. Randall and the crew not only saved the bushes but also went above and beyond to save two trees that I worried might have to be removed to erect the fence.
Randall is a craftsman and his work shows it.
The awning was to replace the original one from 1975. The crew was, again, outstanding. Virgil was on site to make sure I was satisfied with the work.
Great guy, Virgil.
You can’t go wrong with Energy Savings Construction. I only wish I had used their talents earlier (it was a very old awning.)

We used Energy Savings Construction to replace our deck. They were great partners in taking my drawings and vision and making it a reality. We could not be happier with our new outdoor living area. The crew (Randall, Sandro, Pedro, Brenden, and Virgil) were great. Job well done!

Energy Savings Construction did a great job with an extensive remodel of our bathroom. They removed a wall, closed off a doorway, repaired shoddy old framing and wiring within the walls, and replaced all bathroom fixtures. Their employees were courteous, professional, with good communication, and they applied finish and dust protection in order to minimize dust and mess impact to the rest of the house. I recommend them.

I found Virgil on Yelp when I was looking for a siding contractor. Virgil had great reviews and photos showcasing his work. I decided to give him a call. He was straight-forward prompt, and we scheduled a site-visit, that lead to a quote. The quote was reasonable, and after signing the contract, work began promptly.

The agreed-upon job was: James Harding siding for the back, framing for the features of the house (windows and doors), and two new triple-paned windows. Virgil’s team did a great job, and we were very impressed with the craftsmanship, details, and work the team did. Virgil’s team also handled permits and working with the San Francisco Building department. We passed both our inspections.

We added on a project amid our siding project, which was to demo and re-do our laundry area. Again, the quoting process was quick, the team took measurements, the contract was signed, and work began. The team did a great job, and we are pleased with the results.

The total build time for both projects was two weeks from start to finish, not bad for the amount of work that had to get done.

Virgil is honest, knowledgeable, and has a very skilled as well as a reliable team that can get any home improvement projects done in a timely fashion and a reasonable price. I like that I can text him or call him, and he is responsive either way.

So if you are looking for an honest, reliable contractor who will also make your house more energy-efficient and save you money in the long-run, Virgil and his team are the team for you.
