We hired MG Construction & Decks to tear down a decades-old deck and build a brand new one. We could not be more happy with the result! The construction team was extremely professional, reliable, and consistently worked well within their proposed schedule. They did a fantastic job.

James, who was personally responsible for the project, was an absolute pleasure to work with. He is very knowledgeable and accommodating with any questions or concerns we had. He made sure we got the deck we always wanted. His dedication and approachability truly made the entire experience smooth and stress-free.

We spoke to several companies before making our decision. MG Construction & Decks exceeded all our expectations from Day 1. If you are thinking of building a deck or renovating an existing one, this is the company for you. They are the best!

I highly recommend MG Construction for your next outdoor project. They are professional and reliable. What’s more, the projected was completed on time and before the initial completion date provided! Max, our project manager, was responsive and provided design guidance throughout the project. Very happy with our new and beautiful IPE deck.

MG Construction did an incredible job with our yard renovation project. They made sure to address any issues which came up during the project. We worked with James G who went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the outcome. They renovated our deck, built a new covered patio with custom fireplace, installed lighting and also fountains. We couldn’t be more happy with it!

Recently had MG Decks re-do our existing deck that was falling apart and side pavers as well. Cannot say enough good things about our project manager, Max. He and his crew were super communicative and gave thoughtful insight along the way as we added more pavers to an area below the deck as well.
We are super happy with the end result and plan on using them again for future updates.

MG did an excellent job on a complete demo and redo of our back deck (including relocating a large spa), as well as some large paver slabs. From the initial meeting with Michael, we loved how he partnered with us in the design of the space. Once we got going, Max managed our project. He was always friendly, responsive, and on top of things to ensure we hit our agreed upon end date. Would recommend without hesitation!

Seriously where do I begin? I am not sure I am enough of a wordsmith to adequately describe how completely and utterly DELIGHTED I am with EVERY SINGLE ASPECT of the remodel that MG Construction and Decks did on my decrepit old back yard decks.
Visit one was with the owner Michael- and he seemed to have a vision in line with what I wanted. I only wish I could have set him loose on the entire back yard but my budget was constrained to the deck area (FOR NOW ;-D ). Everyone at this company seems to be dog lovers so my 2 Golden Retrievers were also delighted with my choice of contractor- they even have the family Pomeranian pictured on their trucks!
Visit 2 was Michael (owner), Mike (the account coordinator) and Mikey (my future job boss) and I was very impressed with the knowledge and trust these three had in each other. All good vibes- zero red flags- immaculate paperwork spelling everything out in intricate detail (my dad was an attorney, so organization impresses me), so I signed and next thing I knew we were off and running.
Holy cow can these guys work or what! Demolition was pretty much done in a day and framing went up right after. Every morning Mikey would brief me on what was happening. Every afternoon they left the place virtually spotless (OK- yes, I am a Virgo and have dogs to worry about -so occasionally I found a screw hidden in a crack they missed but I had to HUNT to find anything!). If there were issues, I was immediately notified. If there was a potential add-on to the contract I wanted, I’d get the quote by end of day to decide. When there were color and style decisions to be made, I quickly learned that my amazing job boss Mikey seemed to be able to read my mind and knew exactly what I would ask for before I opened my mouth. Lest you think I am a pushover, the previous contractors I hired for a different job got raked over the coals pretty much every day for ineptitude- NOT THESE GUYS!! MGC you can sit back with your glass of wine and let them do what they do BEST and just enjoy the show. We had to work around Christmas and New Years holidays, sourcing issues, and VERY inclement weather but they competed the job in 7 weeks… and I never even got mildly miffed that entire time!
The resulting 3 level deck/outdoor area is a-frickin’-mazing!!! I had them relocate my spa so the central deck area has more utility. The lower and upper decks are now built to be open and sunny but also keep out more of the weather. Its beautiful and modern and all made of materials that are much less likely to rot, weather, or be termite food.
So, if you are a discriminating consumer that wants the most unbelievable results you could possibly conceive of in your home remodel, please call MG Construction and Decks!! I swear on my honor as a Virgo, Mother of Twins, Year of the Dog, picky beyond human comprehension person that they will do a better job than ANYONE you could possibly hire. I will post a before photo and some during and after photos so you can see just how beautiful a job they did!
