Casey Hemmatyar of PSFEG provided excellent service that, in my opinion, went above beyond a typical structural inspection. Not only was he competent, but he was compassionate, re-assuring, and gave excellent advice and how to proceed in restoring our home.

I am a real estate agent and I needed to find a forensic engineer who could inspect and create a report for a tree root problem that is causing a severe damage to my client's property. I didn't know where to begin, and as usual started with a google search. PSFEG was the only company I could find that had relevant and positive reviews, so I called them. It is not uncommon for the reviews and the actual experience do not match so I was a little nervous. It is not like I talk to a forensic engineer everyday. All my concerns almost immediately subsided, however, when I talked to PSFEG for the first time. I felt really comfortable speaking with them, and they made me feel like they had time to listen to me. They came out to the property of concern right the next day, and sent me the report within a few days. I really liked that the report did not mince any words. It was concise and to the point. It was just what we needed. I am happy to report that becasue of PSFEG, I am onto the next stage to help my clients solve the problem.

My husband and I are purchasing a home in Santa Barbara and the lender and underwriter requested that a structural engineer certify that the garage was on a permanent foundation. Casey responded immediately and came out to review the property the same day that I called him! He also sent us a report of his findings the very next morning! We are so grateful to Casey and his hard work. It meant the difference between closing escrow in 5 days and waiting an extra week!

I can not truly describe in adequate words what a wonderful service engineer Casey and this group of outstanding engineers extended to our family during our time of need. Our homeowners insurance tried to deny the exterior damages to our home after record wind and rain in Los Angeles with subsequent severe water intrusion and damage last Winter. Not surprisingly, for nearly a year the insurance has tried to fight us tooth and nail on getting our deserved compensation for these damages based on report from a misleading and incorrect engineer they hired attributing our damages to "normal wear and tear." This was a financially devastating decision for my mom by her insurance at her utmost time of need. I needed a second opinion and I needed one urgently in order to dispute the insurance's findings. I found this engineer group online and I can not express my gratitude enough. Casey was a true and kind professional. He was honest, thorough, diligent, and fair. He charged me an initial reasonable fee to first review the insurance report and after reviewing it, he scheduled a site visit to inspect our roof and quite promptly prepared a thorough, professional, and very impressive and convincing report. He was at all times professional, compassionate, and extremely knowledgeable. Insurances are in the business of profit which means they are rewarded by avoiding payout when possible. In order to defend yourself from such tactics, I highly recommend getting your own engineer second opinion and highly recommend Pacific Structural and Forensic Engineers Group. I was so impressed by their services and would highly recommend them for anyone needing a certified engineer report or second opinion or any engineering need.
