We recently had the pleasure of working with Sunset Pools to turn our backyard vision into a stunning reality. Corey, the specialist was on-site almost daily which is a true testament to his commitment to ensure our project was perfect. The quality craftsmanship and use of high-end materials resulted in an aesthetically impeccable finished product.

The timeliness of their work was second to none. Despite challenging weather conditions from record rainfall, their ability to pivot and stay on schedule as best as possible was remarkable. Throughout the entire process, their communication was top-notch, keeping us informed and confident in their progress.

We interviewed several companies in the summer of 2023 to fully remodel our backyard and add a new pool. We don’t have a huge backyard, so it was important we were able to find a design that maximized the space we had. It was apparent after talking with Steven Lewis that he had the vision we were seeking and put a rendering together that we fell in love with. Steven was also very forthright giving advice against costly features we originally thought we wanted. The pricing and timeline were very impressive. As with any renovation, it is always unknown how the subcontracting will go, budget overage and just overall experience. The timeline was way ahead of schedule, all the people involved were great (professional, courteous, clean, and quality workmanship). Steven was able to stay on his original budget (except for things we wanted to add on as we moved along, which should be expected with any project). We ended up with the backyard of our dreams and it only took about 7 weeks! Full demo to waterfall pool, spa, bar, multiple seating areas, turf, pavers, etc. I would not hesitate to recommend Sunset and Steven to anyone looking for a new, wonderful backyard!

After meeting with several potential pool contractors to have our pool resurfaced with pebble tech, and our concrete decking replaced with pavers, we chose Corey and Sunset pools to do our yard. Our pool was in ROUGH shape and hadn't been re-done for probably 30 years when we bought it. It was green and the paint was paint was peeling off by the time we hired someone to completely re-do it. Corey is a great guy, he’s super easy to communicate with. One of the most important things to us was that the contractor be responsive to our questions and requests. Corey constantly checked in on us at every step of the project, and he was very responsive to our questions and concerns as things inevitably came up during the project. Each time, he responded right away and made us feel better about things. His guys showed up and worked hard throughout the whole project, and we were very happy with the work. They kept things clean, the project got done in what we would consider a reasonable amount of time based on when we were told they would start and expected to be done. We had a couple hiccups during the project, and Corey made all of them right without any hassle. He is a man of his word and he follows through on what he says he will.

We interviewed 5 different pool companies when we realized we would be able to afford a pool. Steven from Sunset was the only one to mention previous references, their insurance, proof of pictures demonstrating quality of work and a contract with a set price. What mattered most to us was the quick and efficient manner the pool was completed, as well as the pavers around it. During this time there were shortages of materials etc and Steven did his best to make sure we were aware of the time frame and what our time frame was from start to finish. He followed through with all of the plans made and hired out for the BEST when it came to other parts of the project. We are beyond grateful we got to work with Sunset Pools and are so happy with how it all turned out!!! If you're looking for an honest/hardworking company to help you build the pool of your dreams this is it!!!

Like a lot of people, my wife and I thought it would be a good idea to install a pool, firepit and BBQ Island during COVID-19. We did the usual three bids. Steven from Sunset Pools came out did a consultation and gave us a bid. He seemed to understand what we where looking for and gave us good ideas. His bid was very reasonable and in great detail, listed my options for my build. We signed on with Sunset and didn’t look back once. There were definitely challenges trying to build a pool during an epidemic, with city hall shutting down or opening one day a week. Steven and his crew where outstanding. The quality of work was simply amazing. The final product completely exceeded my expectations. Steven and his crew were committed to doing it right and if it wasn’t, Steven had them do it over without me even saying anything. His crew was very polite and a pleasure to work with. I would definitely hire them again if I ever build another one. You definitely owe it to yourself to call Sunset and talk to Steven if you are interested in putting in a pool. I got way more then I expected and couldn’t be happier.

Corey did a great job working with me on the pool project. He was an awesome communicator. His crew was professional and very detailed with the work. I waited a year to ensure everything worked well and I was happy with his work before posting. We are all enjoying the backyard. It was worth the cost. Doing a pool is a costly and scary project. Last year my wife and I began shopping for bids to build a new swimming pool in our backyard. We obtained bids from three different pool contractors. One of the three contractors designed a pool based on what I envisioned. However, the amounts being quoted were MUCH more than what we wanted to pay. We were about to give up hope on building a pool when my neighbor referred me to Corey from Sunset Pools and Spas. Corey’s team had recently built a beautiful pool for my neighbor.

Corey came out and gave me a bid that was $30,000 less than the contractor who created the design I wanted!! You would think with such a lower price, the service, attention to detail or quality of the product would have been subpar. This was NOT the case! Corey was very professional from day one. He gave my wife and I a detailed presentation on the steps related with the process, products related to the pool, timelines and the contract to build our pool. Corey’s presentation and attention to detail were just as good, if not better, than the other three contractors with higher bids.

Corey’s team was respectful and courteous throughout the process. They were always very responsive when I had questions related to the build. Corey always responded to my calls and texts in a timely manner. If my question required him to come to my home, Corey seemed like he was always right around the corner. I never felt like I was being ignored.

Corey’s team finished the pool on time and at cost! There were no “surprise costs” that came up during the build. The quality of the pool is exactly what I wanted and expected! After posting pictures on my Facebook page, I’ve received several requests from friends and family who now want Corey to build their pool. My friends and family are all envious of how beautiful our pool turned out!

If you want a “no nonsense” type of company to build you a beautiful swimming pool, Sunset Pools and Spas is the company to go with!
