We're very happy we chose Oak Mountain to remodel our kitchen cabinets. They were more cost effective than big name companies and much easier to work with. Dave and Dylan guided us through the whole process, offering tips and different options to fit our budget and style.

Oak Mountain Cabinets recently painted my entire house, refaced cabinets, installed a new vanity and sink, and did some electrical work as well. The pros of working with this talent-laden company: quality work, reasonable pricing, ease of communication, punctuality, and professionalism. The cons: none! I recommend Dave and company without any reservations.

The owner came out and gave me a bid, after agreeing on price, everything went according to plan and the 40 year old cabinets look like new saving me alot of money and I am so happy. Also, since I had the refacing done before I had a new vanity top put in, they said if any touch -up was needed they would come back and do it. None was needed but nice to know........ Very friendly, good service and it is no wonder Dave is so busy........

After a huge amount of research, we hired Oak Mountain Cabinets (OMC) to reface the dated oak cabinets in our kitchen, bathrooms and hallway and we are THRILLED with the results!

What first caught our attention is the unusual paint and painting process conducted by OMC that results in an astonishingly smooth, strong surface but there are many additional steps included in the OMC refacing process that are simply not offered by other companies.

• David Fontan actively supervised the job every day. On more than one occasion, asked his guys to touch-up an area or re-do something. I had to laugh when he actually laid on his back on the bathroom floor to make sure that the underside of the cabinets had been fully painted. While you would think this level of supervision is the norm when you hire a contractor for your home, it shockingly is not.

• OMC completely filled, sanded, primed and painted the oak base cabinets that were left in place. (See Before photo. That's a LOT of Oak!) None of the other companies included the time-consuming process to fill the grain and many said they would not do it even if we offered to pay more. It definitely WAS time consuming. It took days to complete but the cabinet base now matches the fabulous new doors and drawers rather than remaining an obvious paint-job over oak.

• We chose to completely change the style of the cabinet doors/drawers and significantly “oversize” them. This is another option that some companies don’t offer because of the very precise measurements required to do it. This also meant OMC had to install an overhead strip (they call crown molding) above the cabinet that was the same thickness as the new cabinets so there wasn’t an awkward mismatch of old and new. (See the After photo)

• We did not have to empty the cabinets (joy!). We pulled out the things we would need and then the cabinets were fully covered and taped (photo provided).

• Every employee and contractor that worked on our home throughout the project was extremely courteous, did everything they could to make the disarray as minimal as possible and fully cleaned at the end of every day.

• The new doors and drawers were all installed with soft-close hardware. I didn’t know that soft close doors were even a possibility but that came automatically as part of the job. Nice!

While at first glance, Oak Mountain Cabinets may be a smidge more expensive than some of the competitors, they are ultimately less expensive when you compare all of the extra items that are included in their work.

I should have written a review a year ago, but I guess this is even a better review seeing as it's been a year and we still LOVE our bathroom. Dave and his crew, shout out to Angel, remodeled our 1966 bathroom with custom made cabinets, new wall texture, new paint and new tub/shower tile surround, sinks, fixtures... everything! It looks beautiful.
We, believe it or not, enjoyed having the guys here working for a few months. Angel was our main worker and what a professional! He truly knows how to do everything and does it well!
After the bathroom was finished, they tore out the tile in our entry way and replaced it with hardwood floors. Then they took out ( ripped out/demolished) our flagstone fireplace surround and replaced that with a marble surround. They did a great job on everything and brought us into the 21st century!
I am thinking of another project so I can have them back!
I highly recommend Dave Fontan and his crew.
