Excellent job on my 75 SF of countertop and backsplash. Fast process (3 weeks total including Home Depot quote then Block Tops measure and install). All went very smoothly - everyone was great to work with and the results are really nice including the seams, dimensions and levelness etc. Highly recommended!

For the work Juan did I give 5 stars. He had to do several cutouts and he made it fit perfectly! If you go through Home Depot, make sure EVERYTHING you want gets written down as there can be miscommunication with the middleman. I had one "encounter" with a customer service rep from office that called in the middle of the job and told me I didn't give authorization (for one of the cutouts) and we need to stop the job. I was very frustrated (and YES, they had pictures of what they were going to have to cut out. Her approach was rude and frustrating. She reluctantly agreed to let me write an authorization on the work order so they could complete the job. It got resolved but this interaction was very unprofessional, impertinent and disappointing. Other than that, it was an easy process and after measuring, the job took one day. Thank you Juan! :)

Customer service started out ok until I ran into the first problem with them not being able to do an under mount sink with my kitchen countertop install. The actually installers damaged my walls during the removal of my old countertops and backsplash. They brought the wrong piece of material for my countertop which really frustrated me after spending so much money to have things done right, but hold on for a second the customer service after I complain switch to straight denial and NO ACCOUNTABILITY. Please be aware of this company and there work ethics. Remember you’ve been warned!!!

Contracted through Lowes. If you go this route, be ready for:
1) It's not a crack it's a fissure.
2) We rely on National Marble Institute standards. Unless those aren't favorable to their point of view.
3) Even if it fits the definition of a crack by National Marble Institute "it's not our fault"
4) “I can't take responsibility. It's not in my job description”.
5) The sound of silence as they all ignore your kitchen project that is still incomplete 9 weeks after tearing it all down.

Three months after beginning the in-home work, and three days prior to Christmas, our project is still incomplete. Block Tops showed up to replace the counter top. Granite counter is cut improperly and does not fit. I think they should change their name to Block Heads as that is a more fitting description of their capabilities and service.
Further update:
On the third attempt at installing a section (2nd replacement attempt) Block Tops chipped the previously installed adjacent section.
They failed to anticipate how the significant difference in thickness would affect ability to level the slab.
I have tremendous respect for their install crew. They were put in a difficult, no win situation because of the lack of leadership and integrity of their management staff and Lowes, as general contractor, to meaningfully involve themselves into addressing these problems.
The “completed” work looks like the product of an unlicensed handyman not sufficiently trained or equipped to do high quality work.

This company was hired thru Home Depot for my kitchen countertop rehab. Time line was comparable. Set up to view and select my slab, measurements and details of my request and install was also comparable. I believe it took two weeks. I want to say, I was scared at first and a bit cautious about the process. The ladies (Stephanie, Bernice, Jen ) were very helpful, prompt in calling back, and informative. They also made me feel good when I asked questions and expressed my concerns. Needless to say, I'm very satisfied with the out come from start to finish. The install guys (Cruz and his coworker) did an amazing job. Clean and very professional. They were also honest with a couple of minor flaws the slab had. Thank you for a great experience.

I'd give it a zero if I could! So this was my first project that I used home depot for and I figured home depot is a billion dollar corporation they have to only hire quality people. Nope ? block top has these barely legal aged employees to install my counter tops and back splash. The scratched my cabinets when they installed the counters there was gapping and spacing. And to make bad matters worse I've been calling for 2 months and can't a response of then damage is to be expected I literally have never left a review before but I decided to leave one for the greater good I wouldn't use block tops if they did the work for free!

This is a Home Depot contractor. This is the worst installation I have ever seen. My sink popped out of place two weeks after installation if that tells you anything.I have crooked cuts, jagged edges and the countertop is not level. It’s been almost four weeks since installation and they still haven’t finished the job! They ran out of material!! Home Depot hasn’t done much in trying to resolve this. A lesson learned…..do your homework before signing a contract with Home Depot. Research the contractors they use!

Do not ever purchase a product from this business. Counter top purchased in June 2021. Template not done until 7-28-21. Installation for 9-20-21 cancelled and rescheduled for 9-22-21. 9-22-21 installation cancelled. Excuses for not installing counter top include: truck late delivering product; product not available; product on backorder. Cosentino, the manufacturer, stated product available in the Vacaville warehouse, this was verified through a Secret Shopper call. Today, 9-20-21, I was told, "well, maybe we will have a cancellation". If you choose to work with this business, your frustration and grief will be endless in trying to get your countertop installed. This company contracts with both Lowe's and Home Deport to install product. Lowe's fails to follow up with Block Tops to complete their countertop installation in a timely fashion. Always an excuse from Lowe's as well. Block Tops is part of the Cosentino group and Cosentino states they have the product, Block Tops says product not available. This business cannot be trusted to provide accurate information. This business does not return phones. Don't waste your money here.

Get your money back and stop your wasting time!! They try and strong arm you for more $$$$ right before they come out claiming "If you don't pay the extra, you wont have that install date" with constant delays from "The granite slab was cracked so we have to order another one" to "The slab didn't make it to the cutter in time, you'll have to reschedule another install time" Home Depot doesn't care enough to find a reputable company to sublet their work to and they let this continue.......Makes me think I want to spend my money elsewhere.

I didn’t look at the reviews before having block top come to my house through Home Depot. I’m glad I didn’t because I probably wouldn’t have gone through them. But I did and they did a very good job. The customer service was amazing. My counter tops look beautiful. I did have to pay extra to have no seams but it was worth it. Maybe they change things with their employees. They did their best to clean up! they even cleaned my fridge! They took their time so it was not sloppy work. I have had people come in to install carpet and other products . Normally I have a lot of complaints just because I’m picky. Not this time.
