Only 1 lane open at 9pm on the route 4 east ramp to 99 north highway. Why?!? WE NEED MORE THAN 1 LANE BEFORE 12AM. There was no notice on any map gps services to indicate the lane closure or road work. People need to be notified about this.

Caltrans has its issues, but that isn’t the fault of the Stockton office. I’ve found them to be pretty diligent in cleaning highway-side graffiti. All we need now is to fix the 24/7 I-5 slowdown between Charter Rd and Lathrop

What a waste of tax payer dollars. Employees seem to reference a hand book at any given point when questioned about anything (Even if the answer given doesn't make any sense whatsoever). You really start to question why are we funding this to begin with when nothing is done. (Update 6/22/2023) They fully believe you are trying to obtain private information when you are asking a simple question. Even blatantly blaming you for simply asking for clarification. I would give negative stars if I could.

As a former Caltrans employee, I can attest to the fact that, they have contracted out huge amounts for Hwy. Maintenance work. How often do you see caltrans workers actually on the interstate Hwys doing repairs anymore? Especially if you're in a major metropolitan area, there are many reasons for this, low pay is one, they can't attract qualified people to do construction projects. Also the threat of injury to the workers while exposing themselves to a often hostile public on the Hwy. I've had numerous near misses while in work zones, where everyone was nearly killed or injured by DUI drivers and/ or inattentive drivers driving into the work area! So there are many reasons for delays in projects and even some of the most simple jobs.

Most people commented negatively have their personal assumption/feelings clouding the facts. Before I started working for Caltrans I was negative about them as well. However, since day one I have been impressed with the dedication to the public everyone seems to share. We try day in and day out to appeal and serve the public, but they are never satisfied or appreciate what is or has been done for them. Nobody understands how much effort is needed to deliver a project. There are so many regulations and checks and balances to be met before design takes off. Not to mention feedback/input from the public. Before spreading your negative outlook think about the good. We as Americans are negative and thrive on tearing others down without seeing the other side. Appreciate what you have. The Caltrans Mission is “Provide a safe, sustainable, integrated, and effi- cient transportation system to enhance California's economy and livability.”

All these pot holes i see and all these Caltrans cars i see on a daily basis yet we have all these potholes. Why workers don't note and report them? Nah we're supposed to [while driving] take pictures, even on the freeways i guess. So we can let them know ... are we not driving on the same roads ? TUBBS are you driving on these same roads? Can the city pay for my assignment and new tires?

Is Caltrans still renting trucks and driving them around as their personal trucks. The news outed your corruption and tyrant Jerry Brown (thank goodness he is OUT OF OFFICE!) refused to look at the video! Caltrans seems to have a nice set up using our tax dollars. Don't know why I'm surprised, but angered that most californians are NOT MAKING IT! I WONDER WHY WE ARE FUNDING CARELESS SPENDING BY STATE EMPLOYEES!!!
