Overall

I had a frustrating experience with King Rooter when I hired them to unclog my kitchen sink. Once they start, you're essentially at their mercy with constant work order changes and upcharges. I strongly advise everyone against using their services.

Here’s what happened:

Initial Quote: They quoted $600 for clearing the line, which although on the high end seemed reasonable. But after agreeing, the unnecessary changes began.

First Change Order: They delayed starting the work and then claimed they needed to cut a pipe and replace the trap for an extra $450. I negotiated it down to $215, but it was still excessive and probably unnecessary. The trap and pipes were fairly new.

Fabricated Issues: Near completion, they "discovered" another leak and wanted another $500 to replace the sink basket. I declined and fixed it myself with a $5 o-ring and nut, proving the additional charge was unnecessary and excessive (the basket didn't even need to be changed).

Hidden Terms: Most people probably don't care about this, but I will mention it anyway. No terms and conditions were presented during signing the work orders (which I found odd and confirmed it with the technician). After the work, I found numerous undisclosed terms in the emailed contracts.

I strongly caution you against using King Rooter. This dishonest business will try to take advantage of you. Once they take apart and cut your pipes, you are at their mercy, and it is going to cost you dearly!

King Rooter and Al were great. Communication was great and timelines were spot on. Al was very polite and very respectful of the house. Quickly fixed the issue. I was definitely call them again if we have another plumbing issue.

Exceptional service! Honest, trustworthy and hard working. Johnathon, Javier and Rodolfo exceeded our expectations. They kept us informed every step of the way. This was the second company that came, as the first one we didn’t have a great experience with. It was like night and day with these guys. They laid runners and hung plastic to keep everything neat and contained. They took great care in making sure the job was done perfectly. They didn’t leave a mess behind and cleaned up everything! They worked around our schedule as much as possible. There were several “hiccups”, yet that didn’t change their mood or professionalism. They were rockstars. We are very impressed. I never leave reviews but was blown away with them. Bottom line- they cared and went above and beyond. We will for sure recommend King Rooter and Plumbing to everyone- Johnathon, Javier and Rodolfo to everyone!

Overall

We had frozen lines in the primary bathroom and could not take a hot shower. Jonathan and Chad were AMAZING! Could not say better things about them. They took the time to explain everything in detail and made me feel comfortable with the work they did, and how to best proceed in the future. They came out on the coldest day of the year and could not have been more pleasant to work with. Definitely use them if you need work done in Denver, and ask for Chad and Jonathan!
