The team of Chad, Eric and Tom were an efficient, professional and energic team who installed our windows with minimal disturbance. They were a pleasure to work with. Fred Harper, the estimator, provided accurate and comprehensive information on the Pella windows that were installed. There was no pressure, and it was an excellent purchasing experience. Chad,Eric and Tom. Were the best. Put in a door and window that used to be just windows. I'm a paraplegic. So a ramp can be built. They went way beyond just installing the door and window. They cleaned up my porch,put a railing back. Took trash away. Cleaned up and cared. If you need this service call Chad,Tom and Eric. So grateful to them. They even moved stuff out of they way so they could work. Things I could not move and could not get help to move so they could work. They are the best.

I really enjoy my new windows and door. Seeing the outside world makes my day. Chad and his crew were so quick, came on time , finished in 3 hours taking the 3 old panels out and replacing them with two new panels and a door. Cleaned up everything. Can't say enough about how great they were with their service. Even Fred Harper stopped by to make sure everything was going as he had said. Chad explained for me how to best use the blinds and how to clean everything. I would highly recommend not only Pella doors and windows and but especially DMD Window and Door. I have had many service people in the past but none as great as these three men. Super Job!

Please read this if you are thinking of using DMD builders for your doors or windows! Their products seem acceptable, but the service is far from what I expected and they promised. Everything was fine until there were problems, and then it was one excuse after another. The doors arrived damaged, poorly assembled, and in most people’s opinion not sized correctly for the openings. DMD tried to fix the fixable issues, but it really disappointed me to regularly hear them take no ownership and blame others for the issues. When they were incapable of doing more, they offered what I feel is a minor discount and threatened other actions if I didn’t pay immediately. I wish I had never hired them since I am now looking at hiring another company to replace what DMD is trying to claim are brand new doors that fit.

One door is so short for the existing opening that an out-of-place cheap trim piece had to be added at the top to hide the gap. When I asked why they made the door so short, they at first said they had no choice since they had ordered a standard sized door and this was the best fit available in standard sizes. However, when it was proven to be a custom sized door as I had requested, DMD said that measuring short was their regular process to allow plenty of room for installation. Evidently, rather than remove trim or use other ways to attempt to get a good measurement, they feel they can just measure short and tack up random trim pieces to fill any resulting gaps. Unfortunately, they didn’t warn me in advance that they were measuring this short. I didn’t know there would be a gap until the previous door was already removed and it was obvious to me that the new door had a sizeable open space at the top.

In addition to the doors being short, I am also stuck with refurbished doors rather than the new doors I thought I was purchasing. These doors were so poorly assembled initially that they were missing several screws in hinges, parts were bent, and wood was chipped/dented. Yet the doors with these pre-existing issues were brought to my house to install. DMD tried to fix things as best as they could, but I now have no faith in the quality, materials, or installation and I have no faith that DMD will stand behind their installer guarantees.

Excuses and blaming others; what happened to integrity and ownership of your work? If you do use DMD, please make sure and get in writing that the doors/windows will fit your existing openings, the expected condition of the doors/windows when they arrive and are installed, and document exactly how the trim will appear once the doors/windows are installed.

Update Nov 2023: I wish I had never trusted them at all! While getting hail repairs I find out from the repair person that the brand of doors they sold me were NEVER sold in custom sizes while the sales team and management told me they were. Seems like they lied to me or just have no knowledge of their products. If everything goes fine, they are ok but I feel that they have no integrity when THEY do something wrong.

Amazing work! We just got 17 new windows installed by DMD. We got quotes from 3 different companies and DMD had the most competitive prices and best timeline for installing. Fred was incredible, loved his calm and hospitable demeanor. The installers were great too. They did the full install in 2 days! They were patient with our dogs, worked quickly and efficiently, and cleaned up so well you’d never have known they were here. I had to leave them for an appointment one day and I felt 100% comfortable having them at my house without me being there. The windows look amazing and we are so pleased we went with this company!
