Our driveway had to be replaced as it was 30 years old. Several sink holes were also present. We got four quotes including Custom Paving. A salesman for the other companies came and quoted the driveway and never said how they intended to fix the sink holes. This company’s owner comes and quotes the driveway and explains what process they will do to fix the sink holes. All prices were similar except the previous companies quoted 2 1/2 inches compressed to 2 inches for the driveway which is what they called standard for residential driveways. Custom quoted a full 3 inches compressed to 2 1/2. Four weeks later, the workers come including the owner to do the driveway. The owner notices the driveway settled a little more than expected and had them go get another load of dirt to bring it up so it would be even with the grass , at no extra cost. The owner comes and works alongside the workers to make sure it is done right , his attention to detail was excellent. That is him running the bobcat and him on the left main control of the paving machine.

The people at Paving by Custom Construction are all friendly. The team which are on site are highly skilled and knowledgeable about how to correctly prepare and pave. When our house was built, the builder did a poor job preparing the site and the driveway suffered from the lack of knowledge in required prep. The owner, Joe, pulled many huge rocks, roots and stumps out from under our driveway, which added a little to the cost of the job, but I decided it was best to have it done right. We had quoted the paving with 5 companies and Custom was neither the highest or the lowest, but I believe they did the best job. In addition we had them put in a concrete front walkway, and a drainage system in the front yard, to remove the excess rainwater which collects after snow and rainstorms. They seem to have all the equipment to do any job, and the phrase on the front of the trucks says it all, " Big or Small, we do it right, or not at all"

The company was great to work with. They had a whole crew of people but the owner himself came to bid the job and also there during the removal and laying, it looked to run smoothly. They were quick, clean and took care of all our needs. The driveway looks great and is sloped away from our house as we needed. They had to slope different areas of the driveway differently to force water to go to the drain they added. They added a drain where they had to pull up our grass to install the pipes to get the water away from our homes foundation, they did such a great job removing and relaying the grass to the point that I wondered if they removed it at all, but I saw the drain working properly confirming it was in fact removed! Haha. They were easy to reach when I had questions as well. I would recommend them! It’s only been a few weeks of it being completed but so far so good, and they warranty their work!

From the first meeting with Joe, he was honest, understood our questions and explained everything perfectly. Abby was always available for any questions or concerns we had. The work crew (all of them who do the day to day stuff) very experienced, professional, polite, and work neat and left things clean. Except for the new driveway you may have not known they were there. Joe's uncle is a great guy, he has been doing paving for over 60 years. Paving by Custom Construction is the way to go if you need any paving job done.

Joe and Abby run a great business. Very customer focused. Really easy to work with. Joe had some great suggestions that worked out great. We added a concrete apron with a drain. Joe suggested we add a color and it looks great with the garage and house.
Incredible job. I am 100% happy with the process and end product. I recommend Custom Construction to anyone who wants a top quality product!
