Overall, pretty happy with the quality of the install, communication of the team and they were helpful in coming back to fix the issues that persisted.

Drawbacks were that it took about a month longer than they estimated to receive the windows after the initial order, the installation left more debris mess inside and outside than expected and I had to repair several areas where paint was damaged inside and outside.

Avoid Karoly!! I ordered 5 windows and 3 sliding doors.
In 2021 still waiting for job to be completed. They have ordered one wrong thing after another..which they blame on the supplier. I have seen the orders sent to supplier and it is definitely Karoly's error. Brandon never returns a call or text. Also upon installation of one door tiles in my dining room were broken
Now I have to shop around and find 20 year old tiles to match! Avoid this company!
4/16/24 As to Karolys response, I was not given any reduction on the bill or title amount. In fact, they made a $100 error, in their favor, on the final bill. Don't care what excuse they use 21/2 years is just too long for completion.

Great service at the showroom, Michaela (sp?) was attentive, showing the windows and answering questions that my wife and I had regarding Impact windows that we are looking to install in our home. A long wait for 19 windows, and one door. $33K. I travel quite a bit for work and needed to coordinate being home for the window installation. We picked three days in August which I rearrange my schedule only to have the date pushed out by three weeks because they made a mistake and scheduled another install on the same date.

When the day of install arrived. A distributors truck with 19 windows arrived at the house without anybody from Karoly on site. They asked me where to store the windows? I did not have the room in my house or garage to store the 19 windows. I took me hours to clear out space in the garage so they would have a place to put these. I was surprised to find find out at 7 AM on install day I was required to store these in my garage, and no one from Karoly was on site nor did they answer the phone or provide me that tidbit of information prior to that morning.

The first crew they brought to the house did an excellent job. Attila , the installer, paid attention to details and did a great job installing the majority of the windows. A second crew came on day three. This is where the quality suffered. Some of the windows do not fit correctly, they bow up in the middle. Photo and video below. The building inspection did not pass because of missing screws and the bad fitting window. After a follow up visit and installing the missing screws, a revisit from the building inspector pass the inspection. The building inspector told me he could not fail the inspection for poor quality.

Because it passed inspection, Karoly demanded immediate payment of the 10% balance. Karoly refused to consider the defects even though they were noted on the inspection report.

After me waiting months for Karoly to schedule the installation and reschedule at their convenience. Alejandra threaten me with putting a lien on the house because I was going to be out of town on business for one week and could not wait till I returned. Eventually she dropped that threat and I was able to pay the bill. I would be careful with these guys. They’re heavy handed and you have no recourse if you have any questions about the work or quality they do.

The poorly installed windows are still in place. I will have to contact a different contractor to see if I can get them corrected. Disappointed customer.

The were professional and on time from the initial measurements, to ordering the windows, keeping us informed on installation date, the pandemic delay from manufacturer keeping us informed, installation went smooth, and they scheduled inspection for the next day. Inspection was great and signed off right away since it was a quality install. I’ve flipped homes before and very impressed with Karoly. We live in Los Angeles and we were able to plan flights back because they were on time with the install.

Had a great experience with Karoly. He was recommended by a co-worker. I ordered right before all the fun started with Corona virus. The order was delayed by a couple weeks due to the stay at home orders. The office ladies kept me in the loop and were always helpful. The actual installation was highly efficient. I had 19 windows and 3 doors replaced and they were complete with the work in exactly 2 days. The workers were extremely professional, did a great job on the install, and cleaned any mess that they made which was very little. The windows look great ( I got the Simonton Stormbreaker) and couldn't be happier with the service and price. Absolutely highly recommend.
