Only 9 months after a total tune up to my riding Snapper, the lawn mower did not start. I used it only 18 times, twice a month.
I checked the battery and found a cheap, not original, battery.
The hot wire was only 1/8" away from the metal frame, 1/8" away from a short circuit waiting to happen. To avoid the problem, they covered the hot wire with a loose black scotch tape... unbelievable...
very unprofessional. Never use them again

After a month in the shop for what I was told would be an $80-$90 repair I went to pick up my machine and received an invoice for close to $1000. I called the shop multiple times to check in and received a call back twice which was just to say Jeff was short staffed and that they would get to it. I dropped in once to check on it and was told the mechanic working on it was out that day so it was sitting. I brought it in to repair an oil leak and that was all. Never did I receive a call to ask about doing other work. They ended up putting a new starter on @ $295 for the part ($105 at Napa), new belt, new choke cable, and a new battery. They also “found” another oil leak and repaired that. When I was finally told I could come pick up the machine I was hit with the invoice and I lost it. I told Jeff with the other oil leak I was prepared to pay no more than $300 instead of the original quote of $80-$90. I requested that they take off the extra parts they threw at it and put my machine back together with my old parts. We ended up agreeing that I would pay $450 and he would remove the starter and the belt, both of which were fine when I brought the machine in. I arrived the next day to find my machine “ready to go” which meant a dead old battery, a belt sitting on the seat and a choke switch with the knob broken off and a starter that 100% was not the one off my machine. He ended up removing everything he put on the machine which I had a feeling might happen so I picked up a battery on my way there. I swapped out the battery myself in front of the shop and loaded it up. None of the used parts he put back on the machine were even mine including the battery or starter. When I loaded it up I realized the entire back bumper assembly was missing. They found it buried in the shop and I took it and headed out. When I arrived home and went over the machine there were multiple issues that I had to repair. The air cleaner was installed improperly, the oil cooler was hanging by the hoses because the screws were never put back in and I had to reinstall the bumper assemble and put the belt back on. They also replaced the handle that engages the blades with one from a different machine that is bent all to hell so much so let that you can’t fold it down to open up the deck cover. The machine was bought new from Jeff at equipment masters in ‘04 and since then I have been a loyal customer, purchasing all off my maintenance parts, belts, blades, and anything else the mower needed along the way. I have always serviced the mower myself but chose to bring it in for the oils leaks because I just didn’t have the time to mess with it and for $90 I figured he can have it. After this I will never go back to equipment masters again. It was a joke how unprofessional and poor the service was, not to mention how now I have a machine that is worse off then when it arrived with the exception of the oil leaks. Hate to down a local small business but with service like this you shouldn’t be in business.

After JUST having our lawn mower serviced and repaired by another company, we figured that we had to sell our current lawn mower and get a new one was our only solution. We stopped by to look at a new one; but, after talking with Jeff, he sacrificed a very profitable sale in order to look out for our best interest and save us thousands of dollars. Instead, he repaired our current mower for only a couple hundred bucks (including picking up/dropping it off)! He could have EASILY sold us a mower instead of what he did. I am TRULY grateful, and would HIGHLY recommend him and his company to anyone and everyone! Finding someone whose concern is the costumer, and not the bottom line/money is a true treasure. Thank you for being such a GODSEND!

WOW! I dropped my pressure washer off for repair and a couple of days later, they called and said it was ready. It was very affordable and when I got it home, the pressure washer fired right up after the first pull! Will definitely go back when I need any other small engine repairs.
