Paradise of Florida is without a doubt the best outdoor oasis/ Design and Build company I have ever had the pleasure to hire for my pool and outdoor space needs. This company will forever be my go to company for all things outdoor space related. AND HERE IS WHY!!!!! Like with anything in life you're always hoping you are making the best decisions and are hiring the most talented and competent people for your job.You can do all the research you want, all the due diligence etc. Some times it's still a shot in the dark. Well, let me tell you that Jared is one of the most stand up guys I've ever dealt with. AND his company is a reflection of that. I Hired P.O.F. to install my pool decking. and let me tell you ****They did a phenomenal job.**** But...Unbeknownst to me, the company I hired to build my pool immedatly prior to P.O.F did an extremely subpar job that quickly had issues after P.O.F. laid my decking. Seems the previous contractor poured my bond beam without compacting the area which lead to the decking collapsing in those areas. This of course was of no fault of P.O.F. nor could they have known that the work done previous to them was inadequate. (It was hidden under the concrete bond beam the other company poured.) I reached out to the contractor who worked on my pool to only be told it wasn't their issue and to basically take a hike. I was very ANGRY to say the least. When I reached back out to Jared we talked it over and Jared offered to repair it for me. I was shocked! Here's a guy who knew it was neither his fault nor his customers... but being the stand up guy he is, wanted to help!!! That's pride. That's exceptionalism. You do not find people with that kind of character these days. Quite frankly most companies could care less or will just try to make a quick buck off your misfortune. Not Jared. Not Paradise of Florida. He had a crew of guys out to my house in short order and the work was done. The work they do is quality. It was relieving to have it fixed and to have the peace of mind to know that it was done correctly. It's amazing to me with all the hucksters and scammers out there now days that people who actually care about their customers and posses craftsmanship still exist. But they do, and they work at Paradise of Florida. Again, I want to Thank you Jared for the great job and all you did for me and my family. ?. And if you are in the market and looking for a quality company that will give you your moneys worth and peace of mind in respects to craftsmanship Jared and Paradise of Florida is the company I recommend!!!!

Buyer beware - frustrating experience with a much delayed 2+ year $135k landscaping project

I first started working with Jarred on September 26th, 2021 for a landscaping design to redo my yard, adding a front patio, artificial turf and some children's playground equipment. Over 2 years and $135,000 later I am glad it is over but frustrated it was as painful as it was.

I will do my best to be objective, balanced and succinct in this review. As you can imagine with hundreds of e-mails, texts and verbal exchanges, I could write a book about what went wrong.

Also, I am willing to speak to anyone to answer questions regarding my experience working with Jarred's company Paradise of Florida, just message me.

Lastly before I get into the review, if you read nothing else, please take my recommendation when choosing your contractor:

1) Get recent recommendations from friends, the MOST facebook group, or other sources you have, from people who have recently completed projects similar to yours and been very happy.

2) Ask to speak to existing customers. Obviously these will be cherry picked for the best references but make sure they are a mix of people who recently (last month or two) completed a large project and people who are not yet complete but have been working with the contractor for a while. Ask what the longest ones still going on are, can you speak to them?

3) If you have the time and project management skills, consider managing the process yourself and saving a ton of money, perhaps even a huge headache. You'd need to contract separately with the various types of contractors (someone who builds playground equipment, someone who does turf/patio, someone who does fences, and perhaps someone who does plants.)

4) Get EVERYTHING you want in the contract and assume if it's not spelled our exactly as you want it in there you won't get it.

The good:
- Design - Jarred is very creative and came up with a cool design to have children's playground equipment all around the front and sides of my yard.
- Sub-contractors - the sub-contractors Jarred used generally did good work.

The bad:
- Delays - Originally quoted as a 6 month project this extended to over 2 years. I'd take responsibility for some of that but honestly this was 100% on Jarred.
Project management & communication -
- I can't count the number of times Jarred committed to a date and it flew by. Once he laughed on me after the project was about 6 months late and I asked if it would be done by the time we came back from our 1 month trip. Of course it was not. He rarely answers his phone so text is the only way to communicate and then he send voice memos that delete themselves after a certain period of time. Threats seemed to be the only thing to prompt action.
- He also frequently misremembered verbal communications and I felt like a lawyer always needing to refer back to contracts, e-mails and texts.
- Final product - A lot of it was good but vastly overpriced for what we got, which I did not learn until being forced to get intimately involved in the details. Some of it was very bad - see attached pictures for the falling down fence that is not fit for purpose and holes he left in our new gate. At the end he ran out of money, time, or something else and just tried doing things himself. They did not go well. As a side note he picked out the plants then had people putting them in who knew nothing about plants and many died (despite our best efforts). I don't think that's his strong suite.

I am so glad we hired Jarred to design and install our new backyard space. We are enjoying it so much, and it came out exactly like the renderings. Projects like this take time, but once his team committed to starting, they had it done in only a week or two. Quality and professionalism are worth the price, and we would definitely recommend their services to friends and family.

We still plan to add a hot tub (on the pavers) and other furniture to complete our space, but it looks amazing!

This company is just simply amazing!!! My family and I couldn't be happier!
After long consideration we settled on a imported Italian porcelain paver product that simply put, is a stunning product!

Unfortunately, we were having a very difficult time finding a company, or any one for that matter, that was skilled enough to lay it on our pool deck. every where we turned we were meet with " Thats too difficult" or " I'm going to have to charge you double on install" etc. That for me was unacceptable.
