Overall

We received excellent service from the pro's at Boutte tree. The office was friendly and helpful. Our estimate was provided by Bruce Avery. His knowledge and experience was tested due to the tricky spot that our troubled maple was located. Our house, our deck, our fence, and the neighbors house had to be skillfully navigated. Not to mention a prickly holly tree that we wanted to keep because it provides a privacy screen for the deck. Our removal crew included Benji, Leonardo, Jonathan, and Juan. They skillfully and carefully removed the tree and left both our property and the neighbors property in flawless shape. Fantastic work by a fantastic crew!

We are established customers of Boutte and today their team of Ricardo, Marcello and Carlos were back for Spring Pruning. They did a fantastic job. Worked all day on several establihed specimen trees of and left with all yard spotless. We have never been disappointed with their attention to detail and professionalism.

Overall

The best end-result and customer service I have ever received from a tree care service. This was a particularly difficult job, as the tree was 7 feet away from the house and a couple feet from the walkway and railing. Not a scratch, and the clean up was thorough. The employees on the job were numerous and discussed the process and change of plans in order to minimize damage to other trees and property. Very friendly and professional.

There are lots of good reviews about this company and they do very good work.

However, a word of caution in the event you need an emergency tree removal. The price goes WAY WAY up and in my opinion, to overreach levels. Additionally, while capable of providing a quote, they won’t. My “guess” is because you’ll get sticker shock and move on to the next company. It was 100% our fault for signing a contract without an estimate. I take full responsibility and regret dealing with Pearce. It’s a high pressure sales situation when a tree is on your house. Salesman Pearce took full advantage of this. He kept assuring us the insurance company would cover the tab (which they paid most of), but would not give us a price. Personally, I think he took advantage of us in a venerable state…and took advantage of our insurance company.

One large tree, needing their smaller crane, 4 workers and 11 hours of work (done in one day) was $14,000. That’s nearly $1,300/hr. Additionally, they spent a good bit of time setting up the crane, which they were having difficulty with…not sure I should have to pay full rate for that.

So while they are a reputable company and do good work, I am disappointed how things were communicated and handled financially.

Just had our third job with Boutte Tree, still can't say enough good stuff about them. The crew (Hudson, Alex, and Ricardo from Boutte Norcross) came early, we talked through what needed to be done (which didn't take long b/c Phil had prepped them really well beforehand), and they got to it. We had a 20" diameter mulberry, probably 50' tall, fall squarely on our deck. These guys are GREAT at what they do, super professional, thorough, and all just really nice to work with. They left the deck cleaner than it was before the tree fell, and had it all knocked out in a couple of hours, including cleanup + chipping. Highly recommend them. Great work, fair price, awesome folks.
