We were especially nervous after having an inspection done in the past where a pretty major issue was missed that ended up costing us several thousand dollars. Sure Thing was very knowledgeable and professional. Stewart spent a lot of time at the house and was extremely thorough in every area. I paid for this inspection service with the expectation that it would be conducted thoroughly and professionally, ensuring my best interests were protected. Unfortunately, the inspection performed by this company has failed me in several critical areas. Below are the major issues that were missed:

Attic Safety Hazard: There is a piece of plywood in the attic that is cutting into a wire, which nearly caused a fire. This is a severe oversight that could have had disastrous consequences. (Picture attached below).

Structural Concerns: There are beams in the attic that are not properly supporting the roof; they are simply hanging without providing necessary support. This is a major structural issue that should have been flagged. (Pictures/video attached below).

Ventilation Issues: The attic ventilation is completely inadequate. The insulation is covering the soffit, preventing proper air circulation. This is a basic aspect of home inspection that should not have been missed.

Pool Condition: The condition of the pool is unacceptable. It needs a new pump and must be brought up to code with two drains instead of one. The plumbing for the pool is faulty and needs extensive repairs.

Given the severity and number of issues overlooked, it is clear that the inspection was not conducted with the due diligence expected. This substandard inspection has potentially put my home and safety at risk.

Sure Thing Home Inspections is a less than adequate company employing less than adequate individuals, utterly incapable of delivering the quality service their customers deserve.

You mentioned that your inspector performed a thorough inspection in accordance with InterNACHI's Standards of Practice (SOP). However, it is clear that your employees are unable to execute even the basics adequately.

As I previously stated, this level of oversight is unacceptable for a professional inspection. The area of concern was either missed or carelessly overlooked, despite it being the first area visible upon entering the attic. Furthermore, the beam in question is the most prominent one that any prudent person would notice during a thorough inspection.

I am highly disappointed with your conclusions. Rest assured, I will be voicing my concerns regarding the quality of work provided by your company. I suspect that I am not the first to experience such a lack of thoroughness and professionalism.

I hope that every potential customer reads this review and reconsiders their decision to use your company.
