We had some electrical work done around the house including a security light installation at the garage. Tech broke the garage door and we withheld 50% of the bill until the garage door was repaired. They never responded to our communications and send us to collection. Very unprofessional outfit, look for someone else for your electrical needs.

Jeremy with Starr Electric has been absolutely amazing. I recently had a few tenants leave from a rental and I was needing help with repairing a few things around our house, such as a garbage disposal, a ceiling fan with wireless remote, and a few 3 way switches. Jermey went above and beyond in his help to look in our attic and noticed that we had a few wires loose in one of the receptacles and he tightened them to make sure that were safe! I went with Starr Electric because my son referred them to me, and I do believe this was an excellent recommendation. Jeremy was extremely professional and was nothing but courteous. He made a few excellent recommendations, and I genuinely felt I was in excellent hands being taken care of. In the process of repairing the house after the rental, I needed some information to order a part for an appliance, and I needed some information off of it. Jeremy was happy to help here as well since I wasn’t at the house when I needed it; however, he was!
Jeremy is an absolute gem of an employee for Starr Electrical, and I’d recommend this company to anyone!

Nice people, reasonable rates, good work, Terrible Communication. They “basically rewired” my house, or so I was told. They did get the job done, meaning everything works. The reason for the 3 star rating ( wish I could do 3.5 ) was the discrepancy in hours worked. This turned out to be an hourly job, which I was told, after asking of course. Knowing this I called the guy every morning and every evening, in an attempt to keep up with the number of hours he was working. Despite this when the final bill came there were discrepancies. Not huge ones but when paying by the hour, a few hours can mean a few hundred dollars. I will give the owner credit for calling and having a conversation but I felt that he dismissed it without any real explanation, except to say “everything looked right”, based on what? The electrician just turns in hours without the customer verifying those are actually the number of hours that we’re spent working??The last day that the electrician was working was the only day the owner budged on slightly. That day, the ceiling was damaged while he was working and he spent sometime cleaning up the mess. Again, to their credit they reimbursed me for the damage, without any push back, which I really appreciate. But when someone says they are finished with the job and “just need to check something” but bill for an additional 3 and half hours without any explanation as to what they were doing..?The owner said he would credit me for 2 hours on that day but when I got the adjusted bill, based their hourly rate the credit did not amount to 2 hours. I know this review is super long but I wanted to be detailed. Decent company, nice people but when you are charging someone by the hour, good customer service would dictate verifying hours worked daily with the customer so their are not surprises when the final bill is received. Also when a job takes almost 70 man hours to complete and you keep saying “I should be done”, but when the customers ask for an explanation of what is being done and why it’s taking so long, it should be something other than “I just keep running into stuff”. If the company reads this I hope it is received as constructive criticism and not bashing.

I can't say enough good things about my experience with this company, from Scott answering my call to Bruce, the electrician sent to repair my wiring issue. Work performed was done in a timely manner and at a very fare price. Scott was very understanding to my situation and let me say it was a pleasure having Bruce in my home. If you need electrical work, call Starr Electric.
