This company has been so easy to work with, and understanding from our first contact. We needed a quick survey for an upcoming variance hearing for a neighbor. From the front desk to the field, they have all been wonderful to work with. Excellent communication from all. Field even took additional time to communicate with me on the boundary concerns. I don’t understand why so many bad reviews.
My experience was nothing but great.
I called them and had my survey scheduled quickly. They came in on time and performed the job as they were supposed to. Great price and great customer service.

WARNING! Do NOT use this company. They are the most difficult company I have ever tried to work with.

My Project was very simple. I needed to merge two adjacent lots and the city required me to get the survey. This was all started in March. They answered the phone, scheduled an appointment and came out quickly once paid. That was the end of their helping me.

They NEVER sent me a copy of the plat. I had to call them multiple times and FINALLY I got a digital version and printed it myself. It required a special size of paper so I had to find a printing company that could accommodate. I turned in the paperwork to the city of Douglasville and they refused to accept it because it needed a signature line for the mayor.

UNITED LAND SURVEYING REFUSED TO ASSIST. After I had paid them over $1,000 for the job. At first, they told me a manager would have to call back. Never happened. I called back. Then they told me they wouldn't do it UNLESS I PROVED IT WAS REQUIRED! So I forwarded the email from the city of Douglasville. They still have not sent my paperwork. It's July. 4 months and they have yet to mail me even the original survey they sent.

They are a complete waste of time, will not help you beyond doing the bare minimum and will ask YOU to jump through hoops to "prove" they need to ANYTHING other than draw up a plat and fail to mail it to you MULTIPLE TIMES.

I implore you to find anyone else to do your survey work. Believe me, there is a very good reason this company has availability to assist. It's because their work is dodgy and they don't help if you need it.

UPDATE: They responded. They said this is a false review, and that they sent everything on time and corrected. They are very mistaken. First of all, I hired them to do a BASIC survey initially for my land. This is a SECOND project that I had called them out to do AFTER the first one because our plans changed. They are trying very hard to make it seem like I've done something wrong. They never mailed me any paperwork despite MULTIPLE requests. While it's true I finally told them to just KEEP IT IN THEIR OFFICE and I'LL COME PICK IT UP because THEY SOMEHOW COULDN'T MAIL IT TO MY HOME. I am SO FRUSTRATED I literally decided to start the process over with ANYONE else because they refuse to do anything to help me.

You can see by their response that they don't care. They got their money and they'll call me liar.

I wish I could leave 0 stars. They rescheduled us 3x with no notice, charged us ahead of time, and when they rescheduled the final time we told them we would be out of town and that the new date was unacceptable. When we called to explain this, the person told us they understood and would push it out another week, and when my partner clarified the employee was rude and condescending. Then, they still show up when we are out of town, despite us calling to cancel, and cannot be reached. Horrible communication, condescending employees, and charging for services before they are even performed leaving no option to dispute.

Overall, I'm unimpressed. They didn't show up on the original day they said they would (never called to communicate the no show). On the new scheduled date, I was given a ten minute notice that they were headed to the property and that they would be multiple hours early. They were able to find/ stake out two of the four corners that day. They never returned to stake the others (I'm unsure if this some how was a miscommunication or not but they certainly never returned to finish). The plat was then sent over and the one received had clear mistakes on it. After multiple attempts of explaining that the plat was visibly wrong, one of the managers was able to see that it was indeed wrong and sent over a new one. There were multiple setbacks that were not right/ not included on the plat based on information I gathered from the city website and talking to workers in that department. This perhaps wasn't a part of the scope of the work but it was paramount in determining the usability of the land and the reason I was getting a survey. To my knowledge, I never once talked to anyone in the company that truly knew the whole picture of surveying and was knowledgeable. While everyone was friendly, I don't believe I talked to anyone certified to have the practice. I say this after speaking to at least four employees. In conclusion, they were cheap but I almost bought a unusable piece of land based on the plat provided by them so maybe not the best value?

Had a great experience with United. They did have to delay the arrival day by a week due to weather, and I did have to call initially to check in. However after that, they updated me twice on the arrival. The best part was the person they sent out, he was very informative and walked through everything. Also they sent me the documentation before the estimated time of 15 days, which I needed. Great company!

The owner Miguel spoke with me personally to include on my survey a proposed shed and he did lot coverage calculations! No one else in the industry could come close to the value and quality that I received! Thank you!

I have purchased land survey service from United Land Surveying LLC (1258 Concord Road Suite #103 Smyrna, GA 30080) in June 2020 due to unclear property markers on my new bought home. I explained to their representative at office my situation, that I have a plat, paper document but I need clear physical markers of my property all around since original markers got misplaced during construction and that exact property lines are unclear. I agreed to their cost of service and we proceeded to set appointment. Few days later few of their employees showed up and found 3 out of 4 markers. After hour and half of surveying they demanded cash payment in total and promised to come back to finish the work since it was past noon. They said they will install markers on sides of property as well as mark 4th final marker. They demanded on the spot payment of 500$ cash which was total cost of service. A week went by and I haven't heard from United Land Surveying on when the work will be completed. I called their office 7 times following two weeks only to be given false promises that technicians will be at my property following day, or that supervisor will call me to set up appointment for completing the work. After numerous phone calls and wait I decided to give up on contacting them and it was clear to me that United Land Surveying refused to complete their work on my property after I have made total payment of 500$ in cash. I do not recommend this company and their services, I believe it is a scam and they need to be held accountable. Please stay away from them and hire another company that is reputable and honest.
