Not a company I would recommend for Geothermal units. Unfortunately, after several trips they did not diagnose the problem correctly and did not identify several issues that were found by another company that actually fixed the problem.

After another HVAC business added Freon to a leaking unit (and then the unit obviously wouldn’t work), I needed ASAP AC help, and Ames Heating & Cooling were there quick. My apartment recently requested service from them because my AC unit has been leaking. We had set out two towels and a bucket to catch the water dripping onto our floor. One of the towels is now missing and the other is ruined. The bucket has stuff stuck to the bottom as well. All will need to be replaced. Additionally the floor and the shower in the bathroom next to the AC unit were left a mess. I do not see how this is acceptable or professional. To make matters worse we were told that they will have to make another visit to replace a broken part. I am uncomfortable with them reentering my apartment.

I trust and appreciate Ames Heating and Cooling. In August our AC died and we called two companies for quotes, one being Ames Heating and Cooling. Their quote to do the same work was nearly $1,000 less than the other local company and they were honest about how long it would take to get the geothermal parts. They stayed in touch while we waited for parts and then were able to get the parts a week early. I trusted our technician and appreciated their honesty and fair pricing. I will use them again and highly recommend to others.
