Caliber has been great to work with while renting. They respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner and have great service. Their employees are friendly. Highly recommend!

We lived at Windsor Village for about 3 years. This place has gotten so much worse in the last 3 years. There is trash EVERYWHERE, no one picks up after their dogs and just lets them run around off leash. The walls are PAPER THIN. Rent goes up every year while quality of service goes down. Can never call the office because they won't answer. Even going in person you can rarely talk to anyone (plus they change office locations like once a year and now they have a really weird "executive offices" area locked off from everyone where they probably do f all the whole day). They stopped running the sprinklers and rarely take care of the lawn in the summer (at least in 2021-2023). Maintenance issues will be slow to get taken care of, and half the time won't even fix the issue. It's almost impossible to find parking spots half the time because they don't enforce their parking passes (not to mention so many people parking in handicap spaces). In all fairness, the actual inside of the units are quite nice, but everything on top of it is just not worth it, especially because the walls and ceilings are so thing you can hear EVERYTHING anyone does.
Our move-out process was terrible too. No one was at their office to give the move-out packet too of course. We overpaid in our last month a little bit, and even after giving them our forwarding address and telling someone directly in an email what our forwarding address was, they mailed it to some random address and it got returned. I then told them to just hold it and that we would come get it. When we got there there was again no one at their front desk. So then we call and they forward you to John who is the key offender in their terrible communication. So I went upstairs to their weird "executive offices" I mentioned and some lady that was extremely rude and condescending made me go downstairs with her, then she went back upstairs, then came downstairs where she eventually found what we were picking up.
Just one more terrible experience with this company to throw in right at the end. My recommendation, even though the inside can look nice, DO NOT deal with these people. It is not worth the hassle, especially with their increasing prices for decreasing quality. Regardless of whatever robot message they reply to this with eventually, they have terrible communication, their units are built terribly, they don't care about their own property rules, and it feels like the entire operation is ran by children.

From the application process to the move-out process, Charlie was the best. I moved sight unseen from the west coast and I could not have been happier. The town home was clean, quiet, and nice. I do not have one negative thing to say about this company or Charlie. They are supportive and understanding. Maintenance is quick to respond and do a great job. Everything is done online. This is the company to rent from hands down in the DSM area!

My wife and I have lived in our new townhome in Ankeny for about 5 months. A week after we moved in our guest shower started leaking on the 2nd floor resulting in drywall damage on the first level. We had to have a section of our kitchen countertop removed and refabricated because the space where our slide-in range goes wasn't wide enough to accommodate it. Although our finishes/upgrades are nice, quality of workmanship is average at best. Getting their subs out to do repairs/touch ups can be frustrating due to their lack of follow up. Because of this I just take care of things myself. Just finished recaulking the perimeter of our tub in guest bath due to cracking/separation as well as recaulking the entire area where our kitchen backslash meets the countertop. Would I buy from them again? Probably not.

We had an amazing custom home building experience with Caliber, from start to finish, and even beyond finish. Our initial meeting with Ryan and team was very professional and they listened to our budget concerns, our vision, and even added some unique elements that we hadn't considered. The building process couldn't have gone any smoother and everyone on the Caliber team was always professional, courteous, and took great care of our home throughout the build. We could always find Joelle (designer), Eric (project manager) or Ryan at the job site working and checking on the progress of the home, which made us appreciate their dedication to our project. The quality of construction is second to none, and we couldn't be happier to own and create family memories in our Caliber home!
