Chip and his team are first class. Incredibly easy to work with, responsive and very conscious of their client's needs. Their work is among the finest you will find in the country - beautiful designs, tastefully executed, combining the best of traditional architectural principles with the requirements of modern families. I have done three major projects with Chip - a new home in Winnetka, a new home in Glencoe and a second story addition in Evanston.

I would not work with anyone else. I highly recommend Hackley & Associates.

We bought a David Adler house in need of a thoughtful historic renovation. Working with Chip Hackley and Ted Dunn was the easy part of the project. They offered great service and accessibility, and kept the historic nature of the house in mind through the entire process while providing practical changes to meet the needs of a family today. They have great resources for odd ball necessities in such a project and continually keep it moving forward.

In the end, the house is exceptional and I owe most of the credit to Hackley & Associates.

We hired Chip and his company (Hackley & Associates) for a renovation and expansion of our 100 year old house. We were particularly concerned about matching the house so that it did not look like an addition, but like it was part of the original house. We are very pleased with the outcome. In fact, our house was recently awarded the Village of Winnetka Landmark Preservation Award. Chip's ideas, drawings and attention to detail resulted in a finished product we are very happy with. We would use Chip again, and recommend him to others.

I have used Hackley & Associates on six different projects now because Chip and his team are simply excellent. Getting the important details, proportions and ideas right makes all the difference. What impresses me most is that when I have an idea, they are able to adjust and align it with reality, budgets, and zoning restrictions, and make it better than I hoped. Using these excellent architects has clearly had a significant, positive return on investment for my projects, and I cannot say enough good things about everyone on the Hackley team.

Chip has an incredible eye and he's a great problem solver. We completely renovated a 1948 ranch and turned it into an authentic Cape Cod style home, complete with a wraparound porch, cupolas and cedar siding. In addition to having a wonderful design sense, he relishes the details...moldings, finishes, etc. We characterize our relationship as a great partnership. We have recommended him highly to friends and will undoubtedly use him again on another project.
