Despite my initial encounter with miscommunication by the office, Jeff( the owner) went above and beyond to provide great service recovery. He personally came to my home on a Friday evening and inspected my roof and provided a reasonable quote. We haven’t had any work completed yet but such integrity and accountability to your name and reputation deserves acknowledgment. For that I give an increased rating—genuine customer service is becoming a thing of the past, but not at Abel Roofing.

I reached out to this company after a referral from a friend who had a successful roof repair a few years ago. I can say one thing that change was the customer service that he experienced. I reached out to them on 5/31/24 to make an appointment I was told that they were really booked and had a lot of new clients lately. I was given an appointment several weeks out despite having a leak that just started and was coming through a light fixture in my home. The owner expressed that there was no need to rush as the damage was already done if there was a leak. He further expressed that they were the best around and that I should wait several weeks for the appointment. I was very transparent and explained my concern with having the leak and potential further damages since it was coming through a light fixture. I explained the acute nature of the leak and not wanting an electrical issue as well. I made the appointment, but expressed that I would contact them to cancel if I found another company to come sooner. Monday 6/3 I received a call from the receptionist stating that they could see me on Wednesday, June 5 at 10 AM. I accepted this appointment, I prepared to have someone at my home waiting for the roofer. The roofer never came. I contacted the office and left a voicemail. I never received a call back , so I called again the next day. The same woman who had given me the sooner appointment, expressed that that transaction never happened. She even went as far to say she called and left a msg but never spoke with me. When I provided specific details about our conversation she changed her tune but still was less than remorseful, accountable or even empathetic for her miscommunication and lack of follow up. She was curt and reiterated how busy they are. She then explained the best she could do is 6/11/24 no apology or acknowledgment that she had been inconsiderate of my time. Customer service and service recovery are very important especially when you’re spending thousands of dollars. Most customers will not utilize a company they doesn’t care about their time or seem appreciative for their business. If the smallest of the equation is met how do I know that they care about the work that they are delivering. I hope this is an one off experience, and the increase business hasn’t caused them to negate their business etiquette, professionalism and customer service. I had to share to warn others to be aware.

I would definitely recommend Abel Roofing. The communication was effective, and anytime I had a question and gave them a call, I was always able to speak to someone or they would always get back to me as soon as they could.
My roof has never looked better! The process was so smooth and easy. They literally completed everything in just ONE day, and my house is a pretty decent size. This is a family owned business which is also a plus. To me that makes things more personable as oppose to working with a larger company. Getting your roof done is a very big deal, and it just helps when you are working with a great company who is more interested in the quality of the work instead of monetizing off the job. Book them!

From scheduling an estimate to the last day of the job they made it easy to see why so many people trust A-Abel Roofing to take care of there homes! Shout out to Paul, Wally, Mark, Mike and Jeff. Also the office staff. They made me really feel comfortable every step of the way. I am a picky person when it comes to choosing a contractor. I watched them do many installs in the neighborhood over the years and was impressed by there work. I knew I was going to hire them to take care of my project.
