Early this year, we got 4 bids on a tub to shower conversion for our largest bathroom. (My experience is that what I found online when searching “average cost for tub to shower conversion” using our location was ridiculously off base!) Our bids ranged from $10,500 to $26,500. We chose a provider that fell between these two extremes.
I initially spoke with Steve Maxwell who told me either he or his wife, Trish Maxwell would be helping us. Trish Maxwell of Bath Pro KC is personable, knowledgeable, courteous, and an all-around pleasure to work with. She knew the questions to ask us so we could make the best decision for our wants and needs. (Any white spots in images of the black base are water drops.) Trish’s excellent communication and follow-up were immeasurably helpful throughout the process. We were quoted a 3 to 4 month timeline but Bath Pro KC was able to expedite the install and it coordinated perfectly with our pre-arranged vacation plans!
Installer Zach was friendly, efficient, and totally prepared. He had everything he needed when he arrived on time, wasted no time, and he did not rush. The result is a beautiful, frameless, low-profile walk-in shower. We also met Adam who provided a quick assist after the install.
It’s clear to us that Bath Pro KC values their clients and won’t call a job complete until the customer is satisfied! This is why they receive so many 5* reviews. We could not be happier with our decision to choose Bath Pro KC and their glass partner, Fountain Glass, for this bathroom upgrade- highly recommend!

If you are looking for someone to make your bath look excellent, you really don't need any other bids. These guys were excellent from start to finish. Great customer service and stayed in contact with me through the entire process. We got screwed over by two different contractors and these guys came in and fixed a complete train wreck. Their materials are high quality and there was absolutely no pressure in the sales process. Even my pups were happy that they were there. Very professional and left absolutely no mess in the process. Bath Pro KC did an amazing job with our bathroom project! Nick and Jonathan only needed four days to completely remove and replace an old vanity and flooring. They both worked quickly and efficiently, and their level of professionalism and communication was top notch throughout. Though we already knew the company had a great reputation in regard to cleanliness among other things, the project space was even cleaner than expected at the end of each day. Adam and Joe were thorough and professional. The bathroom counter, sink and floor were completed in around 5 hours. Adam went above and beyond with a plumbing problem they did not create.This was a small job that most people did not want to touch. We were in the market for a small shower renovation plus new vanity top, and knew we wanted to go with an Onyx material. We happened upon the Bath Pro booth at a fall festival where we met the owners Steve and Trish. We could tell they were very knowledgeable and passionate of their product and took pride in their service. So we set the appointment for them to come out and take a look at what our needs were. We felt very comfortable with their personal approach, explaining our options. There was no pushiness. They were both very pleasant, and it was evident they genuinely cared about any concerns we had, and thoroughly answered our questions to our satisfaction. Quality and professionalism at a fair price. Bath Pro KC just replaced my parent's shower built with the house in the 1960's. Through the entire process from the design and sale to demolition to the final polish, they were outstanding. Steve helped us create the perfect shower for my aging parents. And during construction, John was completely respectful, even closing the door to the bathroom under construction so my mom could rest. I followed his work throughout and was impressed by his precision. Besides the amazing shower itself, John even perfectly matched up some of their original tile, which I certainly did not expect.
