First, the two techs who showed up were pleasant and professional, so that was the positive. The reason I’m leaving two stars is because I’m disappointed with the cost and feel like inadvertently I was taken advantage of… Most important is had they communicated better I think we’d all have been better off.

For background, I called looking for a quote to repair an outlet and when the technicians got to our house I listed a few additional things (two outlets, two fan replacements, and some light fixtures that needed to be repaired). In quoting these things out they said the outlet repair would be $189 per hour and would take anywhere from five minutes to two hours… what they didn’t mention was the dispatch fee and 30 minute minimum… so, without that information I said “yes, since you’re here let’s fix the outlet”. Sure enough they fixed it in less than five minutes, but that work cost ~$200.

Now here’s what really frustrates me… that work could’ve been done alongside everything else, and if that happened 1) I’d have saved myself a bunch of money, and 2) They’d have gotten all of that business.

Now, I still have a fan and some lights that need repair, and yeah I still may use their services, but instead of scheduling them ASAP I’m going to shop around and see who else is out there.
