I wish to share my experience with Boston Windows and Doors, LLC. Dba Pella Windows. I received a postcard about their 0% GreenSky financing in the mail and called to schedule a consultation. (I’ll address the finance bait and switch at the end).
When the first sales rep, Tyler, came in November 2021, we chose four doors: two double sliders and two front doors. About a month later, a new sales rep, Ryan, told us the doors were mismeasured, and we had to choose a new set. That was fine, but it should have raised the first Red Flag.
Starting in April of 2022, Pella would show up unannounced to begin their work. This was a Second Red Flag that I was able to ignore.
When it was time to install the sliders, which now 2-3 reps had measured, they discovered a beam they didn’t notice when they originally removed the trim. They went to a lumber yard to ask them if it was a support beam. Third Red Flag.
In March of 2023, the job was left undone. The doors had no trim, and they leaked and flooded my first-floor kitchen, warping the wood floors. They finally installed the trim around both sliding doors and called it a day. Did not address damage or make sure the water infiltration would not continue elsewhere—Fourth Red Flag.
In September 2023, my basement flooded heavily and continued to flood every time it rained. I contacted Boston Windows and Doors, LLC. Dba Pella Windows, but all my emails are blocked. It is now a red flag disco.
Boston Windows and Doors, LLC. Dba Pella Windows blames the contractor and shares information about the business insurance. THIS BLAME GAME HAS CONTINUED WITH NO ACCOUNTABILITY TO THIS DAY. I have brought in my contractors to remove and reinstall the sliders to stop the flooding properly. I have removed all affected walls, floors, insulation, and electrical and brought in a mold company to prevent any mold issues in the future due to the excessive downpouring of water. The damage is estimated at $50k, and our house currently sits without these walls and floors, so the insurance adjusters, which change every couple of months, can continue to come and take photos of all the damage this has caused to my house.

GreenSky Financing Bait and Switch Scam is pushed by Boston Windows and Doors, LLC. Dba Pella Windows. You will be approved for this zero percent finance offer, but beware, when the job is about to be complete, they will tell you it is no longer in effect and demand full payment on the spot for these doors.

RUN, DO NOT WALK FROM BOSTON DOOR AND WINDOW COMPANY DBA PELLA WINDOWS!!!

We've had a terrible experience with Pella. We ordered 3 doors from them back in October. When they initially came to install the doors, they had to leave because they had "forgotten" to paint the door the correct color. When they came back a few weeks later, the work was poorly done and it's led us to require a complete replacement of all the doors. In addition, the paint on our main door sidelights has completely peeled off. It's embarrassing to have guests come through our main entrance. They're planning to replace our two other doors the first week of March, but no word on our main entry and they have not responded to our requests to be refunded for some of this expense. At this point, it's been a 5 month+ project, with no end in sight and no signs of getting any money back. We chose Pella for its strong reputation for high quality products and services and have experienced very poor quality on both fronts. I've never written a negative review for a business before, but we are extremely disappointed and feel compelled to warn others in this case. Spend your money wisely and go with another company.

I don’t usually like to post publicly, but I had to do something because I didn’t understand the bad reviews for this location. We got Pella replacement windows in 2019 that have been such good quality and beautiful windows. We are now back for another round of replacements and have had nothing but a good experience. Traci at the Natick Location helped us. The displays are set up really nicely to be able to understand all the options. The quality is amazing. I don’t know what is going on with the reviews. They also had chocolates in a bowl that helped me with my energy level and decision making! I would return here for any and all window needs.

Update: Meghan from Pella contacted us after the reply from the company here. She promised a door will be sent. Today a door was delivered with correct swing. Hopefully the new contractor will be able to fit this in without issues. Thank you Pella for responding and resolving our issues.

I have no other option as I am in a helpless situation with the unprofessionalism of Pella. If I could give a negative star I would.

We paid $4,200.21 for a door in 2021 and we still have no door and no communication from Pella.

We had requested for a front door replacement in Oct 2021. An appointment was made and Morgan Field from Pella Natick came in. We had a simple request to replace the same door. There was no special requests. We were asked to call a contractor on the day of her visit. The contractor made the measurements and she promised door will be delivered soon. A door was delivered in Jan 2022.
When contractor came to install the door he found it was 6 inches short. Our contractor contacted Pella and Pella refused to take any responsibility for the wrong measurements. They did not take the door back either.

Our contractor stepped up and paid money for another door but this time the door was delivered in April 2022 with incorrect swing. The door was opening to left instead to the right. Pella driver took the door back and told us they will replace the door soon.

After we contacted Morgan she said we need to pay for a third door or take the door with the wrong swing. We agreed to take the door with wrong swing which Morgan said she can send. But it is Jan 2023 and we have still not received any door and Morgan has stopped replying back.

Basically it has been an year and half, paid full amount twice (once by us and once by contractor) and we still don’t have a door. Not even the wrong swing door.

Pella is very unprofessional. We have been cheated, frustrated, loosing patience and are helpless at the moment. Please don’t ever do any business with Pella.

We ordered a patio door from Pella. It was really very very expensive. As soon as we paid, communication became very spotty. The door was not delivered on time and only after many attempt to contact them we got a reply with a different date. By than we decided we didn't trust them to install the door and had our carpenters do it. The door turned out to be low quality, not really straight, not exactly the right size and with HW that we didn't get the chance to choose although it was promised to us to be possible. Many of the structural issues we wouldn't have known if it wasn't installed by our guys. It would have just not insulated as well, maybe leaked, caused issues down the line with water damage and just not worked as well as it should. Pella did not reply to any of our emails or calls. Some representatives were plain rude. So we had our contractor contact them. He managed to get them to agree to redo the door. But after that they stopped answering him too. So here we are. Insanely expensive door, extremely poor craftmanship and unresponsive Pella. We don't quite know if they really are manufacturing the replacement, when it's to be delivered, how do we get the right hardware... NOTHING!! I would not recommend anyone to order from them. They are NOT TRUSTWORTHY and definitely not worth the money.
