We are thrilled with our kitchen 're-fresh' by McGuire & Co. Jenni designed the perfect island to fit our space, and suggested additional cabinetry that pulled the whole layout together. She also provided ideas and options in choosing counter materials, lighting and color schemes; it was a pleasure to work with Jenni!
Marc and his crew are definitely 'top notch'; the cabinet installation was meticulous. The entire crew, including electrical and plumbing contractors were professional, with a commitment to quality work.
We highly recommend McGuire! They truly made living through our renovation seamless. Their communication throughout the entire process was outstanding! We were continuously updated on scheduling, and they coordinated all of the work with minimal, to no disruption in our daily lives.

Top Notch Value. That is the best way to describe my experience with McGuire + Co. After seeing jobs that McGuire + Co completed and meeting them, I knew I would not do justice to my 1890's Victorian Shingle home. I had a vision brewing for 15 years to modernize/expand our kitchen (adding a support beam), dining room, butler's pantry, powder room, and entry while maintaining the classic architecture and lines throughout our entire house. McGuire + Co. met that challenge by pairing us up with Jenni and Marc who listened intently to that vision and our ideas. The passion that Rob, the owner, had for a house like ours, was reflected throughout the entire team, informing the design and build process from the very start. Jenni had a tremendous eye and did a ton of research to bring the vision into a tangible design, collaborating patiently all along the way. In parallel, Marc was tactically assessing how we could take these visions and designs to make them real. I very much appreciated that he understood and shared my sense of "value", applying it to every decision along they way, presenting options as value propositions, pros and cons, gives and takes, and the cost/benefit of all we encountered as we built the design and plan.

Marc led the transition to "build", coordinating a bustle of tradespeople and a few difficult constraints we had, which they accommodated as well as anyone could, through by terrific communications from Marc and Matt. We were never surprised by anything, knowing what, where, and when things were going to happen. All the contractors selected were superior, respectful, friendly professionals. Given McGuire + Co.'s appreciation for fine work, it was no surprise everyone appreciated the "bones" of our house, with its 9 foot ceilings and its massive beams, quarter-saw hardwood floors, and remnants of old gas lines, knob and tube wiring, a laundry chute, a fireplace hidden in a wall, and the cavity of an old pocket door. Rob and his team were focused on maintaining what we could from the old fixtures and the talked us through a few decisions that inevitably came up when gutting a mystery house like mine.

Once all the rough elements were in place, Nick led the rebuild. His millwork skills and attention to detail were exceptional. Nick was meticulous and treated this project as if it were his own home. No nook was left untreated, no seam was crooked, and no scratch was made among the crown molding, wainscoting, ceiling-height cabinetry despite the twists and turns of nearly 150-year-old bones. With the walls and woodwork complete, the tiling and countertops were expertly installed by the sub-contractors, each having meticulous attention to detail. McGuire + Co.'s continuous inspection revealed a painting flaw and scratch in the cabinets that I was happy to live with, but it was not up to their standards, and they insisted on having the items replaced, which was really impressive.

Nothing is perfect, and inevitably, small things happened along the way, but it is how these things are dealt with that makes all the difference. We had a significant material issue that the team resolved that turned out for the better, and there were unexpected schedule changes or delays, but the team re-arranged things to make it all work out and finish on time. A review without mentioning these would be flawed, however the positives dwarf anything issues that arose throughout the project.

McGuire + Co. would not consider the job done until it met their impeccable standards, and we feel they met theirs (and ours!). There were lower and higher priced options, but I cannot think of anyone that could have provided a better value proposition. Our project was on-time, on budget, and managed like clockwork. It was designed and built with our vision and goals in mind, improved by their ideas, additions, and features presented along the way. McGuire + Co.'s handling of everything was Top Notch and we could not be happier partnering with them to bring a modern flair to a classic Victorian home.

We renovated a small condo kitchen and it looks great. A great company with a nice web presence as well as a brick and mortar store where you can meet to discuss design with Jenni and Marc and visualize the plan virtually, pick the cabinets, tile and hardware. They managed the project from A to Z. Very timely, great communication, and excellent workmanship. The contractors used for the installation of tile, plumbing, cabinets and electrical were all excellent and did great work. Marc will not sign off on the job until you are fully satisfied, making a final walk through to ensure satisfaction and to clean up any small punch list items. Professionals all the way around from design to finished product, including billing and timely communications whenever you have questions or concerns. Would highly recommend.

We recently worked with McGuire for a remodel of our kitchen and could not be happier with the result. From the design meetings until final completion, every aspect of the project was executed to perfection. The design process with Jenni was such a great (and fun!) experience, not only is Jenni extremely talented in design, but she understands what a family needs in a kitchen and how to make the best use of a space. She somehow managed to triple the size and function of our kitchen without removing a wall! I always trusted and valued her opinion and love the final product. Marc manages the project and knows exactly how long things will take, how much they will cost and how to get things done. Everything went down exactly how he said it would, which made the whole process that much easier. Marc is very patient and always there to provide his guidance and expertise. Rob, Nick and the entire group of subs are absolutely top-notch. They are all experts in their craft and their work is flawless.
While renovations are stressful, the McGuire team made the experience as least stressful as it could be. They were an absolute pleasure to work with during every phase of the process. I had been wanting to do some work on my home for quite some time and made the decision to remodel the kitchen and both bathrooms at the same time. This was the first time I was ever having remodel work done and had a lot of anxiety around hiring the right contractor after hearing horror stories from friends/family.

I opted to go design-to-build to, not only help with the design of the spaces, but to also save myself time and stress and from being overwhelmed by all of the flooring/cabinet/etc options that I would have to decide from.

Marc and Kelley instantly put me at ease during the initial meeting. They were comfortable to talk to and focused on what I wanted and what would work for my family’s needs.

Rob, Marc, and team were great to work with and always professional. They kept us informed of timeline and were responsive to all our questions. Knowing that we had never gone through this type of project before, they took time to explain what to expect. And they were true to their word, which was one of the things I appreciate most.

Kelley and Jenni really listened to our feedback and made the effort to understand our lifestyle and preferences so that the space was not only beautiful but also practical. The end result was a beautiful, bright, large open kitchen & dining space that our family now spends most of our time in. Perfect for family game nights and having friends over to mingle around the new spacious kitchen island! And I LOVE my updated bathroom that once felt dark and claustrophobic and is now open and bright.
