I just wanted to take a minute to let you know how pleased we are with our new lifestyle windows. Mainly, I wanted to call attention to Franklin and his crew. They were polite, respectful and most importantly, efficient. Although obviously a bit disruptive to have all the windows in the house replaced, they were never a bother to us and were enjoyable to have in our home. It’s evident that Franklin has assembled a crew that has experience installing windows. I would certainly recommend Pella windows to anyone looking, and I think there’s tremendous value in going direct through Pella given you get a crew like Franklin’s who installs windows day in and day out. We ordered 5 windows and a custom sized front door with storm door from Pella in October 2022. We went with Pella as they had the best customer reviews and appeared to sell high quality products. We had technicians from Pella measure our windows and doors on two separate occasions during the fall of 2022 to ensure the correct material was ordered. The installation was scheduled in December 2022 for January 2023. Pella sub-contracts the installation of their products. During the installation it became evident there was something wrong with the door. We measured the door and realized it was of the wrong size. The door was still installed but the storm door did not fit. There was a 1.5 inch gap under the door that was filled with a plastic threshold and wooden trim. There was a 0.5 inch gap above the door that was partially covered with some trim. The project manager came out and confirmed the door was the wrong size and smaller than the door in their order documentation that he showed us. He also confirmed the wrong type of storm door had been ordered. We were told the correct size door would be ordered. A week later Pella came out and re-measured our door and let us know the door was the correct size and that no replacement was necessary. No update on the storm door was provided. The alternative storm door was installed more than 2 months later in March 2023. The storm door does not close tightly and there are open gaps between the door and the door frame. During the installation of the storm door the contractor repaired some issues we were already experiencing with our front door. The strike plate was falling out of the door frame and they covered the 0.5 inch gap on the top of the door with additional trim to block some of the draft. We also had some issues with the door latch they said they would come back and adjust later the same day, but they never came back. The Pella products appear to be of ok quality but the company is disorganized and unprofessional. All issues have been related to incorrect measurements, a lack of communication, and poor craftsmanship. We got different answers from different people we talked to and they were often not able to answer our questions. We would have saved ourselves half of the total cost and a ton of time if we would have ordered the same type of material from Home Depot and hired our own contractor to install it. Our experience with Pella was stressful and it caused us a lot of anxiety. Is appears like Pella did not order the correct size door and did a poor job trying to install what they had ordered. The communication from Pella was ambiguous and it was always difficult to reach the right person to talk to. Please save yourself a lot of stress, time, and money and go with a different company. Update: It's been about a month since the storm door installation and it is already coming apart. See pics for details.

This is the second time I have had Pella products installed and both times the experience was excellent. I originally had all of my windows replaced and just had my patio slider replaced. Both times I got triple pane, wood framed windows with shades between the glass. The installers were professional and thorough and when they finished the job was done right. I highly recommend Pella products.
