We just finished remodeling our kitchen and are so thankful that we decided to have it done by Jordan Weed and Kitchen and Bath Studios. Jordan transformed our small, poorly designed 1970s kitchen into a modern, light-filled space that is double the size of the original kitchen (we removed a wall) and is both incredibly functional and stunningly beautiful. The result far exceeded our expectations. From start to finish the experience was wonderful, and much less stressful than we expected. Jordan listened carefully to our ideas, and created a design that perfectly matched the look and style we wanted. He has an extremely strong understanding of kitchen design and a great eye for detail. He directed us to some beautiful cabinets and drawer pulls, as well as the right countertop and tile backsplash. Plus, his recommendation of a general contractor to execute the renovation was right on the mark. This is the second time we have used Kitchen and Bath Studios for a kitchen renovation. When we renovate our bathrooms, we know where we are going.

We started planning a complete kitchen renovation in late September 2023 and completed the work in late April 2024. We had a tentative idea of the appliances and new layout we wanted, met with some design firms, and selected Kitchen and Bath Studios, Inc. in Chevy Chase, MD. We liked the initial design ideas and felt that the client-centric yet laidback (i.e., ‘not pushy’) approach would best fit our needs.

We benefited so much from working with Jordan Weed as the designer. He listened to our wish list, gave suggestions, provided pros and cons of various options, tweaked the design when we made some minor changes, and weighed-in on countertop, flooring, lighting, and color selections when we asked for his opinions.

Jordan was easy to work with, professional, responsive, patient with regard to the number of questions asked, and detail-oriented. On a few occasions his attention to detail saved us some later headaches, and he was quick to resolve issues with the general contractor when some construction issue arose (e.g., the need to change out the ceiling molding because the walls/ceiling were too uneven). We’re very happy with the final kitchen layout and Signature Cabinetry – we have a much more functional kitchen with an island instead of peninsula, more counter space, more storage, and better flow. We had lived with wood cabinets for 40 years so changed to painted cabinets;

Jordan’s suggestions for honey bronze cabinet pulls and a stained blue-gray wood island get lots of compliments.
When you are undertaking such a big project, and have not done so before, you can not anticipate the number of issues, questions, and decisions that will arise. It’s important to work with a designer you can easily communicate with and who will guide you to get where you need to go.

We’re happy to recommend Kitchen and Bath Studios, and appreciate Jordan Weed’s contributions to the design and project completion. We’ve had occasion to touch base on some minor issues since the work was completed, and he is just as responsive and helpful as during the project.

We worked with Jordan Weed who created a custom kitchen layout. He collaborated with our interior designer Adam Bechtold on the design and choosing the best paint color match for the main cabinets as well as the accent look for our rustic oak island. He provided a professional drawing set with several revisions to fulfill our ideas. During the installation phase he visited the house multiple times to meet with our contractor and answer any questions to make sure everything was fitting as intended. We absolutely love the cabinets, beautiful craftsmanship and we will cherish for years to come.

We embarked upon a major renovation of our home, which involved transforming a traditional walled-off kitchen into a more modernized open concept space. The space was quite dated and needed renovation. So, this involved demo of walls and a re-imagination of the space. We worked with Nancy, who was incredibly creative and patient in designing a beautiful and functional space. Importantly, this was much more than simply selecting cabinets; she came up with several detailed floorplans and designs, and adjusted to constraints that we faced -- including pipes and other features of the home. And, she also provided options to keep us within our budget.

Throughout the project, she worked closely with our contractor, and always made us feel like we were her only client!

Kitchen and Bath Studios did a total renovation of our kitchen and then we hired them again to do 3 bathrooms. They did a fantastic job from ideas to execution. Our designer listened carefully to what we wanted and helped us to formulate our preferences into a plan.
Our design goal for our outdated kitchen and dining room space was to open them up visually so that we could create a seamless space from indoors to outdoors. That is exactly what we have with floor to ceiling windows and organic materials that mirror the outdoors.
Many people in my neighborhood have used Kitchen and Bath Studios, and all of them have beautiful designs that reflect each family's individual taste.

Our experience with Kitchen & Bath Studios was over the top and my wife and I couldn't be happier with our results. We built a custom Frank Lloyd Wright inspired Prairie style home and wanted a beautiful kitchen, bath and various cherry cabinetry touches throughout the entire house. We worked very closely with Nancy Kotarski to come up with a plan that met our needs. I'm an absolute perfectionist and Nancy patiently provided updated plans which we revised several times. We also had a very complex kitchen design with an integrated island that I thought would be impossible to design symmetrically. I was in tears when Nancy presented the final design--absolute perfection in terms of integrating the beautiful cherry cabinets, the stainless appliances and the granite island and counter tops. My wife and I have decided to take "staycasions" in the future because coming home each evening is like staying at a 5-star resort. If you want your house to be your castle and be a beautiful work of art, think Kitchen & Bath Studios.
