We added a walk-up wet bar in our basement and work with Cabinet Discounters in Columbia. We're very pleased with the result. The cabinetry, tile backsplash, and countertops are all of very high quality and workmanship. All of the service providers from the electrician to plumber to countertop installers were professional, prompt, and did great work. The bar looks great and was completed in just under two weeks from the time our materials were delivered. Very happy customers!

Ann McDaniels designed us a kitchen that was more than we ever expected. Due to space limitations, we thought we could make it look nicer and hopefully gain a little more cabinet, counter and drawer space. What we ended up with was our dream kitchen. Right from the start we could tell that Ann was listening to our needs and wants. She absolutely nailed the design. Everything is perfectly sized and placed. Functionality couldn't be better. We not only gained lots of cabinet, drawer, and counter space, the room even looks bigger.

We were given a schedule of work to be performed and who would be working when. Work never deviated from the schedule. There was no sitting around wondering if the contractor was going to show up. We always knew when we had to be home and when we had free days. All contractors were friendly, polite, and respectful of our home. They dealt with all of our questions and concerns with a smile. They were also accommodating of some small changes we decided to make mid job.

Any small issues that we were not happy with were corrected before final walk through.

Ann and Cabinet Discounters did right by us. We couldn't be happier.

We are extremely pleased with the complete renovation of our master bathroom (the original one in a 28 year old house) performed by CDI in January 2024. With the help of Jim Polzin and the CDI team we were able to make changes that markedly enhanced the room’s appearance and function. We replaced the large soaker tub, which we seldom used, with a more modest size, freeing up space for larger cabinets with more usable counter and storage space. The corner shower stall, used daily, was enlarged by a foot, as much as was allowed by the underlying construction. This may not seem like a lot, but with a custom glass wall and door gave a noticeable feeling of spaciousness and allowed the installation of a comfortable bench. The cabinets, fixtures and tile were all high quality and expertly installed.

We very much enjoyed working with Jim and the CDI team. Jim spent lots of time with us discussing the many choices and answering our questions. He is extremely professional and relaxed. We never felt rushed or inhibited during the planning process. He was always available to us during both the planning and the actual renovation. He returned phone calls and emails promptly. He did not hesitate to call on colleagues if more information was necessary to answer a question.

Jim provided active oversight during the renovation process, assuring that the schedule was maintained and that the work of different craftspeople was coordinated. I was impressed that when there was an unexpected glitch (which is inevitable during a renovation) it was taken care of quickly, professionally and creatively. I’m certain that Jim did a lot of work behind the scenes to make this happen.

The CDI craftspeople are top notch – skilled and professional. They were also quite amicable, willing to explain what they were doing and to respond to our concerns or questions.

This was our third renovation by CDI. They did our kitchen 13 years ago, a hall bathroom and powder room 7 years ago. We worked with Lorraine Aldridge-Ey on these projects. Again, the end results were outstanding and the human interactions enjoyable.

We highly recommend Cabinet Discounters and would not hesitate to use them in the future.

We did a Kitchen Remodel with Cabinet Discounters in Columbia and Main Street Remodeling. The cabinets that we picked were Brighton Cabinetry which are amazing and can't say enough good things about the quality of the cabinets. We selected Monogram appliances thru ADU (recommended by Cabinet Discounters) and we selected MSI Quartz Countertops which were fabricated by Cabinet Discounters. We worked with Rebecca Litton, she did a great job helping us determine the right design for the kitchen with what we were looking to accomplish and within the budget we had. Kitchen remodels are expensive and we did talk to various companies for comparable estimates, so I would say we were right in the middle with our costs. When we did our kitchen remodel, Cabinet Discounters was extremely busy with customer requests, so it was a little tough to get time on Rebecca's calendar because of the workload she had on her plate. We did make a lot of changes throughout that caused re-work for Rebecca, and she was happy to make changes and updates for us. Brighton cabinets are custom made, and we were told ahead of time they would have a 6 week lead time, which was fairly accurate. There were some delays on a couple of cabinets, because Brighton felt they were not up to standard, which was good that they caught that before being sent out, but it was tough getting an update on delivery for the remaining cabinets so the project could be completed. Overall, schedule and install were fairly smooth. Main Street Remodeling did a great job as our GC making necessary plumbing and electrical changes and getting everything installed. Would recommend working with both.
