ADT is a Ponzi scheme. Stay clear of them. Go with someone else. They are a failing company, hanging on by a thread.

This review is for the overall company! I chose a random location because otherwise I cannot post a Google review for ADT and I think it is important, given that Google reviews are highly read.
I am not sure how this company doesn't have a big lawsuit yet. I am truly shocked. We got a system installed roughly 16 months ago and the equipment already broke - panel, sensors. We had techs come here a few times and sensors mailed to us twice to replace what they gave us. But the latest issue takes the cake. Our doorbell stopped working one day. Completely. No sound, no video, nothing. It so happens that they decided not to install the type of doorbell they gave us and they are now asking us for $229 to upgrade to the doorbells they are using now. Excuse me? We refuse to do that - ADT unilaterally decided to not provide the doorbell type they installed for us not a very long time ago; it's upon them then to accommodate customers who have these doorbells that were offered to us by them if issues arrive, NOT to require us to upgrade. Their solution? Drop video surveillance from the contract. I asked them to tell me where in the contract they cover this situation specifically and I agreed to it; the answer? they won't hold my hand and I can read the contract myself. I did, it's not in, nothing about this situation is in, that at any time they will switch products around and if we need any type of service on old products, we either pay up or it sucks to be us. We're trying to get out of the contract now. All the techs we've had here to troubleshoot speak poorly about the company without even being prompted. What a disaster. I am looking forward to the day this contract is in the past - we will absolutely never be renewing or be in business with them again. Prospective customers - I beg you to look elsewhere! They are a headache and I even have doubts about how much surveillance they actually do and how reliable that surveillance is given their terrible customer service and just complete disregard for the customer.

One star given as we have just early-terminated our contract. The service from the repair department is atrocious.
Our main panel died after 2 years. They scheduled us for repair a week out. The day of our repair, the tech's truck died. They rescheduled us for 7 days later. No urgency to make up for our lack of service.
The next tech visit, dude came ill-prepared for the repair. He mumbled something about not being able to get it done before he left and said we'd have to call ADT.
Same dude came back the next week. Said his phone wasn't working and he couldn't do the repair. What does that even mean?
Another visit was scheduled with a Noon to 4PM window. By 5:30PM, tech still wasn't there. We rescheduled. That happened again a couple weeks later.
One tech came and sussed out what we already knew. Our panel was dead. He ordered a new one. Over two months later, we still have no panel.
The customer service people who work with you via phone are friendly and polite. They do their best to help customers. The problem with ADT is how bad their technical repairs department is. Another problem is the overall unavailability of managers. In two months without service, we were never able to speak with a manager despite being polite and friendly on every call.
Since we've left them, I've shopped around enough to learn that ADT is also MASSIVELY overpriced. There is zero hyperbole in saying they are the worst company I've ever done business with. That includes every cable company I've had, the DMV and any other type business you can think of.
Stay away from ADT.

I am not a customer of Safe Haven ADT nor did I want to become one. However, they sent someone to try to sell their services repeatedly to my door. I told them I wasn't interested. I contacted Safe Haven and asked to be removed from their contact list. Yet the representative came back. I finally told them not to come back again (rudely) and hopefully this time it will work. Honestly, it was wild having someone track you down multiple times throughout the week after just buying a house. Extremely frustrating and stressful, I wouldn't recommend their product based on their sales tactics and I personally will never purchase from Safe Haven or ADT due to this experience.

Run far and run fast. If your alarm company is bought by ADT, get out quickly and find another company. Customer service is non-existent. Technician are not always qualified but are allowed to touch your system. You cannot reach anyone who cares or that can help with problems. GET ANOTHER LOCAL COMPANY. THEY ARE REALLY REALLY BAD. I don't normally complain but these people have had too many opportunities and are too big to care. If zero stars were possible that would be about right.
