I recently had the unfortunate experience of hiring owner Maurice Harrison for roof, gutter installation and the addition of gutter guards. To say that I am disappointed would be an understatement; the workmanship was nothing short of a nightmare.

From the outset, it was evident that attention to detail was not a priority for this company. The gutters were installed damaged with visible gaps and uneven alignment. We purchased black gutters, to find out the company gave us spray painted materials. Not only did this compromise the aesthetic appeal of my home, but it also raised concerns about functionality.

The gutter guards, touted as a premium solution by Maurice Harrison owner of A1Roofing/KangaRoof, proved to be utterly ineffective. Far from keeping debris out, they contributed to clogging issues, leading to water overflow and potential damage to my property.

Attempts to communicate these issues with the company were met with unresponsiveness and indifference, and more poor workmanship. It's clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority for KangaRoof.

I write this review as a cautionary tale for anyone considering their services. Save yourself the stress, frustration, and potential damages to your home by steering clear of KangaRoof. There are countless other reputable options that prioritize quality work and customer satisfaction.

In summary, my experience with KangaRoof has been a regrettable one, marked by poor workmanship, ineffective gutter guards, and a complete lack of accountability. Consider yourself warned.

⚫️UPDATE 02/07/2024
The pine trees were there when the house was surveyed by Mr Maurice Harrison. Mr Harrison never mentioned that the pine trees would be an issue, and we weren’t informed that he would be hiring a subcontractor.

We have been more than patient with Mr Harrison. We have called them out at least 5 or times for the gutters and the downspouts that his “subcontractors” installed.

The home had been in my family since the 1980’s, and we’ve never had an issue with the gutters overflowing. We were under the assumption that this was a professional company and would be taken care of. We discussed receiving similar material, but wanted it in black. The size of the gutters and downspouts are significantly smaller than what we previously had on the house. As I stated there were never any issues prior to this installation.

That the pine trees were removed summer 2023 and we are still having the same issue. The gutter’s and downspouts aren’t the correct size for the house, and when it rains the gutters are overwhelmed by the water that it can't handle.

Mr. Harrison also spoke with my husband yesterday and agreed to come out to the property Monday 02/12/2024

A friend and I watched Kanga put a new roof on a neighbor's home. We were so impressed by the workers that we clapped for them when they were through. I subsequently called Kanga for an estimate for a new roof and Mr. Harrison advised I had a few years left on my current roof. He is a very nice gentleman and I appreciated his honesty. Maurice was the person that gave me my estimate. He explained everything in detail of what needed to be done and went threw the steps of what will be done. I took the time to get three other estimate before I choose this company and he was the only one went on top the roof to examine it . He was also the only one explained things in detail. Mr Harrison inspected and repaired my roof leak over a month ago. There has been multiple rainy days. thus far without leaks. He is professional, explains process and listens to concerns. After inspecting roof Mr. Harrison returned for an attic inspection which was beneficial in completing repair. The office assistant was pleasant as well. We hired A-1 Roofing to repair and repaint our flat roof, replace the shingles on our mansard roof, and replace all of our gutters. Maurice is a great guy and a very honest and enjoyable person to do business with. I was out of town during the job but he kept me updated with photos throughout the process. Kyle Burns, Residential Roof Specialist, came out to the house and helped answer all my questions and examined the roof which had some weather damage. Kyle was very professional and helpful. He set up the repair date, estimate, etc. and explained everything to me in detail.
