ACS was assigned as the installer for our vinyl flooring project from Home Depot. I have to say we were very hesitant after reading some of the recent 1 star reviews but that did not reflect our experience at all.
We found them very professional and communicative throughout the process.
Home Depot was a bit slow to ship the order (couple of weeks) but ACS stayed in contact with us to make sure we were able to get the install scheduled as soon as the materials arrived.
The CSRs we spoke to on the phone for the scheduling were polite and helpful. There was a slight miscommunication where they scheduled our install a day earlier than I thought I had discussed with the phone rep, but we were available both days so it was no big deal.
Installers showed up on time and ready to perform the job. They got it done quickly, cleaned up the work site, and asked us to perform a walk through. The job was done exactly to our specifications and looks great.
It sucks so many people had a negative experience with these guys because ours was excellent.

Home Depot flooring installers. A tale of two jobs. We replaced the flooring in our house on two separate jobs; upstairs one week and the downstairs a few months later.

Upstairs was fine, the crew was decent, I had to run to a local plumbing store to get a new wax ring for the bathroom toilet, even though the paperwork said it was included (paid for). Flooring was fairly well done, no complaints.

Downstairs was a bit more of a disappointment. After the job was done, and the crew had left, we noticed a lot of issues. Our hallway door no longer opened. This was not mentioned, and I had to sand it down to fix it. The baseboard heater wasn't reattached. I fixed that too. The Touch-Up pen that I purchased ($18) was missing. One of the crew showed my wife how to use it, and presumably put it in his pocket and left with it. All of the extra materials (that we had paid for) were also removed. I don't know how much flooring I had left over, but I paid for it, so I should still have it. I'm not talking about waste, I'm talking about intact, new floor boards.

Customer service called after to see how everything went. I told them all of this, and they said they'd investigate. I have heard nothing from them. I called back, spoke to someone, same routine. Nothing. I emailed them. No reply.

If you are using this company through Home Depot, I would suggest going different path, as this company seems to rely on Independent Contractors with no oversight. While they can do the job they are assigned, it seems like ACS doesn't provide them with much in the way of quality control. I'm sure ACS makes more money that way. Good for them.

We bought carpet through Home Depot in New Freedom, PA. The guys from ACS who installed it did a great job. They really hustled. They arrived on time and got right to work pulling out the old nasty carpet and padding. I wanted to vacuum around the bottom edges of the walls, and they backed out of my way and let me have at it. Afterwards, they moved in and quickly and efficiently laid the new padding and carpet, even carefully checking to make sure the “grain” of the carpet matched up correctly where it was seamed. They took the very large piece of carpet and spun it 180 degrees so it would match. Overall, I am very pleased with the work they did.
