Staff called and emailed to confirm appointment. She arrived on time (5 minutes early) and was very professional. She answered my questions and gave me important information to base other home energy related decisions.

I'm burned out with those women on the phone. So fake and reading a prepared script. I sent my 2023 IRS form to these people and am told I don't qualify for rebates because my 1040 transcript shows zero in taxes or earned income. I told these women that I am on VA disability income. It is a federal government program for wounded veterans. My disability check amount does not supposed to be counted for any income taxes or other programs like Efficiency Maine. I had enough so I contacted the Governors office about this last week and have an email back. The person that wrote back stated that they will look into the matter and may have to bring this up in their next session. Also for me to contact my local representative in which I will on Monday the 29th. I live in a mobile home park where I see people getting the heat pumps for almost nothing, and I get the 40% discount. It's appalling to see some women with a bunch of kids, no father around, on S.N.A.P., food card, housing, other benefits, and get almost free heatpumps...and military veterans with 100% disability get to pay more than they should. Something is definitely wrong with the system.
