Went in with a relay and capacitor for compressor on 20 year old Maytag fridge. Compressor stopped working after power blip so I followed you tube removed part the woman told me it's not original part that someone replaced. My wife bought new from seaveys when we remodeled kitchen "refrigerator stove and dishwasher package. I asked before I purchase new part (you can't return so I'd be out 100) she said oh our multimeter broke a week ago. Stay away from this company

I happened to be home and doing laundry when Nick came by to service the basement dryer, which had a jammed coin slot. He was great - professional, efficient, friendly and clearly very knowledgeable and experienced. I was curious about the issue and the repair process, and Nick told me it was fine to watch, explained what he was doing and answered all my questions. At my request, he even took an extra couple minutes to check the still-functional coin slot and clean out the small amount of lint etc. that had begun gathering.

Just had Dan out from "Downeast appliance" to help address a ice maker problem in our refrigerator. He very quickly diagnosed the problem -- the water input was too much ( plumber had put a commerial ice maker valve on input line instead of for a residential valve ).
Got the valve replaced - issue quickly fixed.
Great pricing. very professional and courteous service.
i very highly recommend Downeast Home Appliciance! i will not hesitate to call them again for any and all futures needs.

My son Dillon bought a dishwasher here and recommended I give them a shot as I usually walk into a box store. I was quickly and efficiently educated on the options and of a new washer and dryer set. The sales person was very knowledgeable and I felt the education and service deserved an order.
Unfortunately- we couldn't wait as we needed a set immediately as our house had a huge pile of laundry since the set broke. They were in a pinch and short-staffed with an employee that was going to be out and we had a huge snowstorm that was about to hit in 2 days. They understood my challenge and found a way to work us into their very busy schedule and got our shipment out the next business day.
The gents that delivered the units were promt- corteous and did a great job getting the old units out and the new units in. They connected everything -ran a test run on all cycles and even activated the warranty for us.
The whole process was super easy.
I will be buying a new refrigerator here soon.

They were more than competitive with other stores and truthfully- I believe their service is second to none!

UPDATE: After being referred to the sales manager, who also is an owner of the business, he quickly rectified the situation. A new refrigerator has been delivered! The delivery guys were great and went above and beyond to make sure everything was set up correctly. I am so pleased to have a positive resolution and a working refrigerator.

I hate to have to write this, but I am out of options. I purchased an appliance from them last year. During the 1 year warranty period, it malfunctioned. Despite two service calls, it was not fixed. I have spent the last six weeks hearing nothing by excuses from the owner as to why he is unable to replace my broken appliance. I have heard every excuse under the sun - it needs a part, the part has to be ordered, the part wasn't ordered, the part isn't available, you'll need a new fridge, the whirlpool rep is coming next week, the whirlpool rep didn't come, I don't know when I'll talk to him next, we don't make any money on these whirlpools, whirlpool is too difficult to deal with, I'm tired of it dealing with things like this, oh we're going to be closed for the holiday so it won't be next week, we're behind because of the holiday, I was off last week, so I haven't checked my email, oh there are 100 other people in the same position as you, what do you think I'll be able to do, I can't help you, call the sales department, there's nothing else I can do. Those excuses came from the OWNER. If he's not willing to help a customer whose product broke within the warranty period, who will? How I wish these were not the actual excuses I have heard over the last six weeks. It's a real shame that they do not have much faith in their products or dealers and are so overwhelmed.

The liquid propane range in our home had a leak and it was red tagged, we were desperate to have a new one so we could cook beyond microwave meals. Downeast had a good selection and one we liked. Of course we also went to the big box chains and they offered the model we liked as well and for $100 less BUT these big box stores could not hook up the new range to our propane supply and we would have had to call our propane company back for an additional charge of nearly $400. Also Downeast could get us the range two weeks faster. Easy decision! They got us cooking again and hauled away our old hunk of junk
