During this last years storm Ethan came to my house at 11 pm to fix my generator that decided to stop working in the middle of the worst storm of the winter. I am so thankful and I cannot tell you how much money he saved me by coming in the middle of the night to fix it! If I could give him more stars I would! Thank you so much Ethan and the crew! Ethan sent a couple of techs down to install ceiling fans for us. They did a great job, but it ran longer than estimated. Not surprising, 70 year old beach house, the estimate was over the phone, no eyes on. We worked thru the difference and came to, what I think, was a satisfactory compromise. I don’t recommend them at all. They came right away. we were having an issue with our dryer, not working. We thought they had fixed it but when we tried it again, it didn’t work so we bought a new dryer. But that didn’t fix the problem. The problem was electrical. So we called them back and they promised to come many times. But they never did come. We had already paid them $300. I’m sure they will somehow delete this review because all the reviews have five stars. Sorry, but I’m pissed off.

Greater Portland electric did a great job of quickly replying to me about the work I needed done, and when their electrician came out, he was very open and honest without being pushy about the condition of the old cloth wiring. He made sure I knew the relative risk level involved in keeping the wiring in place, and what a safe load on the wires would be until I got the house re-wired. He didn’t try to upsell on anything unnecessary, and wanted to be sure that I got exactly what I wanted for outlets and lighting so there wouldn’t be any surprise additions to my quote.
