There is so many wonderful things I would love to say about Grand Rapids Construction and their team. First and foremost is the caring this team has for their customers and workers. The owners a husband and wife team are without a doubt the most caring. To ensure there were no hiccups with the installation of our enclosed carport with neighbors the owner Deserie stayed with the team almost 12 hours. The team started at 8 am and were completely finished by 8 pm. They cleaned up the yard , road etc. they did not leave trash anywhere contrary to previous post. We live on a one lane dead end road with seasonal residents. If any emergency vehicles needed to get through it would have taken less time than one would imagine as we would have all materials out of the road by the time the vehicle made it up the hill. The owners do care about everyone's input. Sadly the previous poster is a disgruntled neighbor that has nothing to do with Grand Rapids Construction. Please feel free to ask me any questions as truly we never would have had this carport without the due diligence of GRC. They have worked through red tape, stood up for us with zoning laws etc. they went to bat for us and we are extremely grateful to them. We are an elderly couple that truly needed an enclosed carport in order to keep us from falling on ice etc. Matt, Deserie and Brittany worked with us from day one! It took months to get our permits etc and they worked for us every step of the way. We truly feel part of their family and know it didn't stop with the completion of our carport. We have made life long friends with GRC and their family. I would also like to thank their 16 year old son who came out early the next day to make sure there were no nails or screws we could slip on. Ps there were none as the team cleaned up so well.

Overall

I called looking for a qualified contractor after discovering the person I was considering hiring was not licensed. Matt took time out of his day to share information with me that put me on a better course of action than the one I was on. I’m finding it’s the company I haven’t hired, or one I hired for a different service, that have given me advice that the “professionals” I hired should have that have saved me from making costly mistakes. They are the true professionals. Helping a stranger on the phone counts for a lot in my book.

This is a great company. They did the remodel in my bathroom and I love it. When I called for a quote, they communicated quickly and broke down exactly what would happen and how long the remodel would take. The finish product was great. I definitely will be recommending them to friends and family.

Matt was amazing. We needed baseboards installed and had some cabinets in our dining area that we wanted to make into built-ins that he did for us. He had great communication skills & answered every single question we had. He was very accommodating and professional and worked very swiftly to get the job done. I HIGHLY recommend him!
