Gomez and team did an outstanding job on our countertops. They were so careful. Nothing got damaged. You can’t even see where the top is seamed. Just awesome.

Update - I needed Gomez Granite to come out and take care of some silicone shrinkage on my undermount sink (these things happen). Without hesitation, Gomez sent Kevin out, and he did an outstanding job. So happy I got my countertops from Gomez Granite.

Gomez Granite Countertops of Holland Michigan installed 4 pieces of quartz countertops to the kitchen at my home on July 10, 2020.
Alfonso Gomez came to my home on June 18, 2020 per direction of the designer I hired locally to template the job so that the tops were supposed to match the shape and angles of the cabinets below.
One of the tops comprised two pieces which they epoxied together on site after some cutting and extensive grinding. This grinding turns out later to be too much material removed. The countertop is some combination between L shape and Boomerang shaped.
The first piece they brought in for the right side of this two part top wouldn’t fit against the pantry cabinet to which it abuts so they cut the notch deeper into the top so that it would fit into the side of the pantry cabinet. The second and much larger piece of this section came in and was laid out to the left side of the first piece but wouldn’t face up to the front edge of the first piece ( the edge above the doors and drawers ) so they pulled it out from the wall and off the side of the cabinetry enough to grind material away until they got the second piece to face up to the first piece.
Once the two pieces faced up, they epoxied them together and brought in the other two area’s of counters.
They picked up their tools and were ready to leave when I noticed that the large two piece top was extremely crooked with the cabinet below in front of the kitchen door and that it definitely needed to be addressed before they left. They called Alfonso and told him that the customer wanted the top to match the cabinetry so they ended up taking the sink back out and sliding the top out away from the wall and cutting out seventy inches of drywall along the right side of the nearly one hundred three inch wall from the top of the cabinetry to the top of the new quartz countertop that they were installing. They then pushed the countertop into this notch in the wall the full one half inch and checked the measurement at the point that was so obviously misfit. It was still off a little bit so they pulled the left side of the counter away from the wall a little bit to help gain the fit.
1. So now the right side is pushed into my wall that they cut drywall out of.
2. the notch apparently shouldn’t have been cut out deeper because now it is one half inch away from the front of the cabinet thus leaving a half inch hole in the top that needs to be trimmed with something that shouldn’t have been if they would have followed the template originally made.
3. The left side on this same wall doesn’t touch the wall and was over ground after they got here so that it doesn’t even come close to the wall on the underside where the chairs are.
4. Most of the portions of the counter that overhangs the cabinetry either are not equal distance in overhang or are crooked from the right side to the left side of that angle. ( 14 sides total, 8 sides are crooked to the cabinet below ).
My complaint isn’t that I paid $7300 in full for the job as quoted but that I paid for a brand new countertop that was templated to fit my kitchen and got something that not only wasn’t built to match the template but installed and left in a substandard condition based on the standards listed on their website.
Once final payment was made, the email conversations stopped. I had been requesting use/care and warranty documents with repeated promise but without action. I did get Alfonso Gomez to come by on August 4th to look at the workmanship but he wouldn’t admit to anything and kept changing the conversation so nothing was resolved and no documents were left. I can imagine that he doesn’t want the countertop manufacturer to know what shoddy workmanship they did to the slabs that were sent so I am left with $7300 worth of un-warranteed odd shaped cutting boards.
This isn’t some ploy to try and get new counters for half price, It is that I expect to receive a professional job for what I paid.
The only resolution that I can see is for Gomez Granite to order new material and do it right the second time.

Alfonso quickly came out to the house to take the measurements for an estimate, and they were able to finish the work on the timeline we needed. We explained our plan to go with white cabinets, and Alfonso suggested a countertop to match. We went with his recommendation and were not disappointed. The kitchen looks great!
